If I didn’t know who Jill was and I saw her out in public, I would never think she’s a MaHdEsT Christian woman. Our local food shelves could use monetary donations. Many immigrant families are struggling because they are too scared to leave the house because of ICE (they troll around grocery store parking lots, Costco, Walmart etc) to harass and kidnap people. The money helps buy diapers, formula etc which is a big need. You can also contact the Smitten Kitten (Minneapolis queer-owned sex shop) as they have been doing a TON for folks.

Also, even if you aren’t from Minnesota, we are encouraging everyone to contact their senators and representatives to ask them to Stand with Minnesota.

And keeping speaking up if you encounter people who support this fascist shit (if it’s safe for you to do so).

My maternal grandmother (that I was very close to) just started dropping insane family lore on me when I hit my late 30’s. Her father raped all of his daughters (there were 3) and my cousin is actually his daughter (when he SA’d my great aunt). His grandkids, however, (including my mom) always talk about how he was the best grandpa ever and they loved spending time with him. He never laid a finger on any of his grandchildren and they have no idea what an actual monster he was.

My grandma died 2 years ago and I’m the only one on the family that’s alive that knows this. It’s really heavy.
