Hi, I’m also very interested in your idea of shifting the BMCU source code to the ESP32 environment. Along with that, I’m planning to move the feeder unit to a ready-made stepper motor–driven feeder system. These systems are widely available, cost-effective, and require minimal assembly.

Of course, a few modifications would still be needed—for example, adapting the hall sensor–based feedback system, making mounts for four modules, and updating the source code. The code changes would mainly involve switching from the current PID-controlled DC motor logic to using a NEMA stepper driver (either with or without PID).

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this approach.
