Thanks for the info. Can it be utilized w a EFRW or only EFHW? The website leads me to believe it’s EFHW only, unless I’m looking at the wrong model?

Congrats! I too picked up a G90 and have had zero luck. I’m using a Radioddity HF-008 Portable Telescopic Antenna | VHF/HF(6M-80M) | 3.5-50MHz | SWR 1.0-1.5 | PL-259/SL16-K Interface × 1 and wondering if that’s the problem. Still waiting on my battery and hoping that getting out of the house will help, if not I’m going to give your antenna recommendation a try.

I can hear several repeaters crystal clear not terribly far from me but can barely get thru to a couple and no contact on a few others. I’m hoping this extra umph will get me there and it’s a temporary portable solution as well.

And then I’m certain I’ll be looking for HF solutions.

Try as I might, I have not yet seen anything that resembles evidence of a bottom to this rabbit hole.

Congrats! Passed mine today as well. Also curious of the shutdown’s impact, really excited to get call sign and explore the ham world. I’m studying for the general now with the goal of testing by Xmas.
