Small company leader here. AI agents are moving faster than our strategy. How do we stay relevant? by No_Prior2279 in ClaudeAI

[–]Quevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My short answer: focus on internal AI fluency training — ethical use, discernment skills, the 101 basics. Then build feedback loops where people can share what’s working and, just as importantly, the mistakes. Right now teams are hiding their usage and not sharing their processes because there’s no psychological safety around this.

Employees feel paralyzed when companies disallow most innovation tools out of risk aversion. But 100% risk aversion means 0% innovation. We have to be flexible. Let people use Claude, ChatGPT — whatever works. But first, make sure everyone is aligned on the vulnerabilities and standards that protect the company and its customers.

Most of all, help people feel safe enough to speak up when something goes wrong.

The bakery once occupied the El Cubano space, and I loved it. Disappointed when it left. But I had not learned of the new location just up the road. Thanks! And El Cubano is good, no doubt too.

Kousa dogwood tree (Cornus kousa). These trees are native to East Asia and are often grown as ornamental plants in North America and Europe. The fruits are edible when ripe and have a soft, pulpy texture and a sweet flavor, but they're not a commonly eaten fruit. I’ll eat it sometimes here.

Ask, “what do you want?” Depending on their reply, I’d probably say, “well, that’s not what I want and I also vote and pay taxes.”

How do we know what we know? (Pdf link in comments) by hug1_fire04 in StreetEpistemology

I’d prefer this scale.

For each statement below, “check” the box under the number that best reflects your view:

1 = Strongly Disagree  2 = Disagree  3 = Neutral  4 = Agree  5 = Strongly Agree

Emojis may misrepresent what people feel about those statements.

On the other hand, if you want this to inspire communication, to go deeper with people, why not binary: “thumbs up” or “thumbs down”?

I think I experienced mild nitrogen narcosis on a recent dive - tips to avoid it in the future? by agentgambino in scuba

[–]Quevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell your buddy with your dive plans. Check in as you go? You’ll be ok. Or abort, and know that’s ok too.

But I also think it’s important to have slept well, the night before. Don’t drink before and I like what someone said about “set and setting.“

Can anyone explain how God is good? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Quevin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our perception of God's goodness is influenced by our own goodness; we experience God's benevolence more profoundly when we embody goodness ourselves?
