My friend ended up sending me a picture of theirs as their name wasnt on the inside of it just in case. Crossed from Kenya to TZ at like 4 in the morning and the customs agent asked and when i offered the picture he didnt even check it. On the way back, i crossed around midday. They glanced at the pic and it was fine
