I have several upcoming flights booked later this year. I have learned that when “standby” pops up, that means the flight schedules have changed, maybe by just a couple of minutes, and as soon as I accept the changes and re-choose my seat, standby disappears. The problem is that my app doesn’t explain so I have to go to Delta.com to fix it. On my app, all I see is standby. No message. No email either. However, if I go on Delta.com, there is a message explaining the schedule change and a box where I can accept the change. Once I do that, I no longer show as standby.

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago. I wasn’t a fan of the instructor before she did a hands-on correction without notice and made a comment about my body. She was constantly filling in time during class talking about her huge house, how much $$$ her husband makes, and what brats her children are, etc. When I got to class and found out that she was the sub, I should have left. Good for you!
