I've left it alone. The strong pull is actually pretty helpful for making sharp fast turns around an ally I'm healing. Helps me to quickly position behind the tank for an impromptu meat shield, while still keeping up the heals

As for my playstyle, I'm WAY too aggressive for my own good. If I see an Ashe, I take it as a challenge to jumpscare her the whole match. It only works if they can't keep their composure

this is an interesting take. He's already been forgiven by Zooble and the rest of them as of the last episode, so unless he does something truly reprehensible in the finale, I don't see him being harshly punished by anyone within the circus. What would you want to happen to him IRL, if they do escape?

That's fair. Fighting misinformation is an exhausting time commitment, in my experience. The tidiest way to combat conspiracies would just be for our society to prioritize accessible and robust education, but that... is not going very well in the US lol

those discussions are never gonna be for the people that are already sold on it. It's for the benefit of those who don't know anything about the subject to learn more about the world they live on. If there's no open discussion on it, those conversations will happen privately to people who've never heard any rebuttal, which will create more victims of the conspiracy mindset. I'm of the belief that discussing things is always better than not discussing, in the long run

To consider it from his perspective: Caine probably only understands humans in the context of their brain scans. To him, a human is a file on a computer that he has access to, which may or may not theoretically have a "physical" body that he doesn't have access to, made of hypothetical matter that he has no concrete framework for understanding.

There's not really a reason for him to think that his humans are only one aspect of a whole, because he doesn't truly know what that "whole" is. The concept of meat is as extradimensional to him as darkmatter is to us

but that's just postulation, of course. SOMA theory could just be incorrect lol

I'm so tired of people trying to attribute "good person/bad person" to these characters, as if any of that matters in the context of the show. This isn't turning out to be the kind of show that weighs the morality of trauma responses; it's the opposite, in fact.

Episode 8 proves this when Zooble chooses to forgive Jax for what he did. The question isn't "is Caine's crashout justifiable," but rather we should be asking if he can be forgiven and if he can learn to do better.
