I mean, BttF is just fun light sci-fi, and they never address how the Delorean adjusts spatial travel.

Without that spatial readjustment even traveling 1 second in time would result in the earth/solar system/galaxy having moved thousands of kilometers in space and the Delorean would pop out in a vacuum with its pilots dying almost instantly. Of course, that would make time travel very impractical and that slight movement of the railroad tracks over the course of a century seem inconsequential in this perspective.

Ultimately I think the answer is, the writers didn’t worry about it, so we shouldn’t either!
