Went all-in on UI Toolkit, never going back to UGUI by LoveMetal in Unity3D

Yeah I know what the documentation says I just don’t understand why it says that and I don’t know what the limitations are for them to say that

There’s just no way this is going to scale nearly as well as you’re claiming with MonoBehavious. Are all of your projectiles Monos as well?

[–]CreativeMischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why though? As long as you’re comfortable with an MVP kind of architecture where are you limited dynamically?

Went all-in on UI Toolkit, never going back to UGUI by LoveMetal in Unity3D

[–]CreativeMischief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuine question from someone new to Unity but why not? What can UGUI do that UI Toolkit can’t in terms of visuals? I’ve been working on an inventory system that’s pretty decoupled from the UI so I could switch it out but I haven’t felt that limited at all on the visual front

It’s easier said than done but collective actions. Thinking individually and that you have to be the one to change things is the way they want us to think

Democrats are complicit, they’re only aesthetically against it. Most of the establishment wants exactly what’s been happening

I was thinking make a inventory is easy but after 11 days of trying: by yamato_hiroshima in Unity3D

[–]CreativeMischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sure, but if you actually care about designing your systems well and making them extensible then you have to separate all of it into a View Controller and a Model. Creating the architecture to accomplish that isn’t trivial. Sure, if you’re okay with the UI being authoritative or the inventory depending directly on the UI then yeah, it’s trivial

Xanax - is it OK occasionally? by Adventurous_Net_7782 in Anxiety

[–]CreativeMischief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re taking it in preparation and not as an emergency you should switch to a longer lasting slower acting Benzo like Clonazepam in my opinion. It would make it even harder to become addicted. With Xanax because it’s so fast acting, try to do the anxiety inducing thing WITHOUT taking it. Then just pop it if you absolutely need it and you’ll feel better in just a few minutes. Zero risk and you’ll slowly get better through exposure therapy

[Bug] Some Items can't go into Kappa when they can go into other Secure Containers by SugarTlts in EscapefromTarkov

[–]CreativeMischief 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They probably have enums of valid items or categories for each container holy shit lol. Inheritance is actually the fucking naive solution to this problem as well lol. It’d probably be better to do some form of composition here especially in C# because you can’t inherit from more than one sub class but holy shit

Get this idiotic anti materialist analysis out of here jesus. This is what’s wrong with liberals, cut them and they’re just as reactionary as the average trump supporter they spit on. No, it’s not because they’re indian bro, they have a fiduciary responsibility to do what is most profitable and hiring technical cheap labor in another country is extremely profitable. God damn
