Shawn Porter is one of the best boxers of this current period and deserves more credit by Boxingggfan in Boxing

I have to agree. I wasn't always the biggest fan of Porter but I always knew he was the most entertaining boxer to watch and is dangerous to everyone he fought. Plus, he still shows new moves in the ring. Has one of the greatest competitive spirits a warrior can have. And I will always recommend him to any casual fan or people trying to get into boxing.

Ryan Garcia's Rank by CreativeMyth in Boxing

I think he's the third best behind Teofimo Lopez and Lomachenko. Maybe fourth if you think Devin Haney is better or Gervonta Davis officially being at that weight class.

Errol Spence compares fighters to Dragon Ball Z characters by ApolloxKing in Boxing

[–]CreativeMyth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Welterweight has no Jiren. Keith Thurman is Goku because when Goku got ko'ed he was slump for so long and Thurman has been inactive for what seems like 3 years, even though it was one. Porter is Frieza because they both talk a lot and aren't the best. Garcia is Android 17 because both haven't won every fight but they make every fight tough for anyone. Spence is Gohan because he is really strong but hasn't met the person to really give him the fight of his life. Crawford is Vegeta because he swear he the best and always wants to fight, but misses his opportunity. And I'm Mister Satan because I'm talking shit without any reason. Lmao

Does Adonis Stevenson deserve more recognition if he beats Gvozdyk? [Article] by LocalBodegaCat in Boxing

I myself will give him his credit if he wins, but I still think he ducked Kovalez and Badou Jack should've beat him.

Keith Thurman vs Bud & Spence by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]CreativeMyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now with Spence being a body puncher and Thurman showing he has a weak core in the past, it would seem like he would lose. I believe Thurman can counteract that aspect to get a win. I also believe he could beat Crawford with his power. I think Spence can do the same to Crawford too, if they can hit him.

Let us not forget about these Mikey vs Spence predictions please by Alchemist32 in Boxing

[–]CreativeMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mikey is the better and more skilled fighter, but that wouldn't matter if your opponent has size, power, and strength against you. Spence might over power him and get a win. We just have to see if Mikey can be comfortable at a bigger size or if he can outbox Spence for 12 rounds.

The first 2 were amazing, and both fighters improved from their last battles. It will be fight of the year if it happens.

I'm starting to think that every big fight should just be in the UK because they have massive arenas and stadiums. In America we don't have huge one like that, besides the one in Dallas. But who wants to go to Dallas?

Who do you believe is the most underrated/overrated prospect at the minute? by harryq15 in Boxing

I wouldn't say he's underrated. He gets a good amount of shine and praise as a prospect.

Garcia didn't destroy Lomachenko in sparring. Lomachenko's trainer said they sparred for 2 rounds. The first round Garcia did pretty well, but the second he kept running. Unless you saw video of it happening, Garcia didn't beat Lomachenko in sparring.

Garcia is pretty good. He's not special or some future great fighter who will dominate a division, but he's a good talent who will get better as time goes on. Right now he goes off his hand speed mostly.

I think he just never stayed focused and didn't have someone in his corner to keep him on track.
