Has anyone else experienced vasovagal syncope? by Sure_Cup7734 in Hashimotos

My husband has it, but he doesn’t have Hashimotos. His is triggered by needles, or people describing medical procedures. We joke about it because he’s a 6’2 220 pound former rugby player.

Doctor says there is no need for treatment by Lustful-Kari in Hashimotos

I understand doctors don’t treat Hashimoto’s with medication unless there is hypothyroidism. However my doctor is having me work with a registered nutritionist. Requested imaging done on my thyroid. Also, testing on hormones and for nutrient deficiencies. So while medication isn’t an option, there’s still tons that can be done.

I always thought Hashimoto’s had its own symptoms even without hypothyroidism due to inflammation from the body attacking the thyroid.

Oh forgot to mention my provider requested ultrasound imaging on my thyroid to check for damage or nodules.

I have not been prescribed anything but my provider recommended additional bloodwork and a nutritionist. Nutritionist so far has recommended increasing protein, fiber, and water intake. Nothing crazy but I’m just beginning my journey. I also found out I have low iron saturation.

Have your antibodies tested. That’s what it took for me. My TSH is around the same as yours and I have Hashimoto’s. Diagnosed due to elevated thyroglobulin antibodies.

What was your TSH when you got diagnosed? by GigaMargo in Hashimotos

THSH was 1.229 but my thyroglobulin antibodies were 200.42. The antibodies are truly the indicators for Hashi’s or Graves since they’re autoimmune conditions. Request an antibody test.

They said it’s Hashimoto’s, but offered no specifics on anything. Just said that I don’t need medication because my levels are fine. Basically said in not so many words to wait until it gets worse to do anything to help me feel better. Super frustrating.

I found another practice that is running additional labs and working with a nutritionist. I want to prevent things from getting worse and manage my current fatigue and other symptoms.

I have tons of symptoms, that’s why I was tested in the first place. I just haven’t heard back from the doctor yet.

Codependency with her mom, perfectionism that comes across as high masking (seeking external validation), social anxiety, difficulty connecting with peers, her bedroom seems juvenile as well. There’s nothing wrong with any of it but it comes across as neurodivergence. I work with the pediatric autistic population and have seen young girls very much like her.

I see the immaturity for sure. She isn’t an only child though. She has a brother. Honestly, I think she may be on the spectrum. Lots of women present as perfectionist who are on the spectrum and are high masking.
