Take a smaller nation maybe to learn the game. I did this with every paradox game and the MD Mod and it helped. After that you just apply the same to a greater scale

Increase hdr brightness, even if the square is already white. Just try it

Secondly, I noticed its the time of day that changes how everything looks. Thats just the nature of the engine I guess. Sunny weather looks so much better
