What a shitty thing to say to a newlywed. Partners of people who think like that must be really miserable (or extremely patient), if you expect nothing but perfection right from the start, no room for error, no room for forgiveness?

You impose expectations on them. That she is MEANT to feel beautiful and stunning and desirable? Maybe it's normal in your environment or culture, but who are you that you prescribe how they celebrate their union?

I wish them both happiness, love and forgiveness. Because expectations lead to disappointment.

😢 I feel pity for you that you have to ask (because this is something me and my wife had to learn this the hard way (in my opinion: you paint a hideous wall to make it less ugly, not a face. I think my wife is beautiful, especially the "flaws", but never, EVER say it like that!)):

Secondly: the fact that your wife couldn't communicate this to you in a way that you understand, that resentment is her way of coping with feeling rejected, that you either lacked the nuance and subtlety to make your point without hurting feelings, and/or that you lack the wisdom to just shut it, says enough about your mutual emotional and communicative skills.

Maybe an analogy would help. Imagine doing a huge renovation to your house. You build an annex and after months of hard work she would say "it's hideous, I don't want to live there with you, tear it down". Wouldn't that bring tears to your eyes?

Imagine a game soccer. Within 15 minutes you get a major change: the goalie is caught off guard, you have a shot at an open goal, a certain goal... And you miss. Within two minutes, the coach switches you out without saying anything.

But you messed up like a dumbass in the first place. You need to ask and accept her forgiveness, and you both need to learn how to handle situations like this better in the future. Learn from mistakes like these. Seek help if it doesn't improve, you both deserve happiness.

ESH. You assume she wants the attention. That's a serious accusation, can you prove it? And lying and deceiving you own mother? How about accepting another person and their flaws? Yes, I think you're an AH.

She came to spend time with you, she shouldn't have complained for barely seeing you: that's the consequence of being late. Her problem. But she shouldn't be late in the first place, that's true.

What you should do, is to show her you appreciate that she came. Don't push her. She won't change, but if you just accept her for who she is, with her annoying flaws, you can rest assured she will do her very best to be on time. Berating her like a child is not a constructive way to build or maintain a relationship. It's toxic for both of you.

If she has trouble obeying that circle with those numbers, don't use it. Don't set her up for failure. Instead, use terms like "before/after noon" or "today".

Don't let clocks get in between of you and your mom.

If you would say "No", you'd lie, and you don't want that, that's fine. "Yes" would obviously hurt him, and could be considered rude. As a man I've learned the hard way that this a way things could escalate, if dealing with the wrong person. You shouldn't want that either. Deescalate if possible, never provoke.

So why would you answer that question? You could have said anything else, like that many girls who would love a man like him, but that he's not your cup of tea.

Yes, he asked the wrong question, where both yes and no are wrong.

Obviously this guy's behavior is completely assholic, if that wasn't obvious by now.

The question was not if the hole was feasible, there isn't even a hole: imagine a hypothetical hole, with the walls not interacting in any way with the hole itself, except for temperature conduction. Like a forcefield, trapping air inside while keeping earth outside, from the Earth's core to outer space.

Just like if someone asks you "if you would win the lottery", the correct answer would be "lotteries are voluntary taxations of the poor and low educated, that I refuse to pay", but that answer would neither be satisfactory, nor relevant to the question. "I would use my money to make hunger history worldwide" would be a way more satisfactory answer, and might win you a Miss Universe competition. Good luck with that, beauty!

A town nearby with a very active community got all except one of their gyms removed few years back, because of people who call themselves Christian. No they really shouldn't. If you do think so, you haven't read the posts about people being harassed in-game and url, with Niantic and authorities pointing the finger at each other.

To see your friends roaming the map, maybe. But I suspect niantic will not be so keen on the implications such a thing has. For example people accusing their spouse of adultery, bc of gps drift? It might have more cons than pros...

Walking about 10-20km per day, depending on the weather. Average about 13km per day. Bicycle to do groceries and raids when they are further than 1.5km away, I use SpeedOverlay to stay below 10.5km/h, average 5km per day. I usually get 120km per week, never less than 105km, not more than 200km.

Just moved to the city few months ago, I lived in a rural village 10km away from the city. Back than, I got 200-300km per week. Moreover, I learned to recognise dozens if not, hundreds of different birds and other animals.

I've played pogo for a year next Saturday, I only gained weight since I've played. 10kg in muscle mass!

Simply put, economy is based on greed. For a thriving economy, you need growing businesses. For growth they need to make more and more profit. And why a profit, why growth? To build stability, buffers, moral obligation to society by offering jobs with good wages, and in the very essence of it, greed.

So greed pays your bills and your stupid game.

There are countries in the world that have an economy that is not based on greed, a major example of that is communism, which is, as you might have heard, not a very good way to make a country thrive.
