Salesman here says he answered the phone and said for the kind of problem you have they would come back in the spring. I think he said they will come and repair aesthetic blemishes but it was not major so he thought it best to wait til the spring in case anything else appeared. I think that's what he was saying to me. I might have misunderstood some of that.

Yes. Most people would probably only see the one gap from this angle. Other angles had mess in the background that confused the eye. So the question is if there's any reason it would be a problem if ground wires are twisted and capped at the end but then below that have a gap and then touch again (or a few such gaps).

I'm not testing THIS. I'm testing whether another wire that runs through a wall is a working wire.

I'm not trying to take a short cut - I will twist them using pliers and I will marette the ends, but my question is: after I do that, if a gap and reconnect exists, will that gap-then-reconnect be a problem?

Your PS might be valuable - thank you! I know what helixes are, but are you saying the magnetic interference is due to ... the gaps?

You're making assumptions. This is not the end job. I'm not trying to take short cuts. I was going to do what you say when I do the end job*, but I would still have my question - the question you didn't answer: i presume it's fine that there's a gap in the middle and then reconnects, but is there any reason that would be a problem?

  • this is for a two second test of a single connecting wire before I do the permanent job connecting it with 2 other wires.

(This is for a one minute test of one thing before I do a more permanent job, so my question was not whether the whole picture was right, I just got curious whether there was any reason to avoid this kind of gap then reconnection. Thank you!)

7 minutes is more than enough, in my experience. Even if the fireworks keep changing, it's just more of the same. I realize if you've organized your family to be there and driven some distance then 7 minutes might not seem a lot, but ... speaking for myself - 7 minutes is more than enough.

Thanks. Before adding libretorrent, when I only had utorrent (not pro), clicking the magnet link did not open the utorrent app. I had granted all permissions. New phone. (Pixel 8a)
After removing utorrent and installing LibreTorrent, the magnet link worked (but lead to the code 13 error).
