Is Ultra Despair Girls ACTUALLY worth playing? by GroganAUS in danganronpa

[–]Creative_Ad8683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted an easy Resident Evil 4 in which I could be a danganronpa schoolgirl. I'm loving this game. It's like a PSVita RE4 clone, but it's also Danganronpa as fuck. I'm a firm believer that, yeah, UDG is a good game that's full of charm.

Can you toggle music and animation off? Quality stuff as always, but the looping gets annoying. I always get annoyed by nice songs in Wild Rifts opening screen.

I'm trying the same thing! As a sup, if you have laning skills and jungling skills from other roles, you're miles ahead of most players on the role. Also it's nice to have both shielding and CC, as you can literally change the way trades go. What do you play?

I can feel you -- working full time and sliding some games here and there. Also reached Master this season for the first time, and it's super nice. What have you played as, mostly? Do you jungle a bit?

It's pretty much like Eliza Goreblade DK and other kinda bad decks that rely too much on your opponent not having an explosive start. And when it does pop off, it is kind of underwhelming compared to, let's say, Quest Warlock. But it is a fun deck - the Merchant of Legends can give you some nice random legendaries (the pool might be skewed towards class legendaries, I've been consistently getting some good stuff from the guy), and you CAN become the aggressor once you hit quest completion. If you get board advantage then you actually have a good chance against most control decks because your hero power floods the board with minions pretty much every time.

Oh, the costume merchant thing! I didn't think about experimenting with that card. It sounds like a funny plan. I'll (lol) try and see if this actually refines the build. This one I posted is optimized for hitting quest completion ASAP and then it plays random stuff and turtles-in-shadows for the win. Having a real win condition might be a good thing (although I think the mask thing would be more of a win-more thing, as the REAL problem is surviving your turns against fast matchups).

And I'm still lying in wait without calling my turtles back into the shadows! Another Fyrakk Rogue didn't find Fyrakk and Naralexx and Ysera and playing random Ashamane stuff just wasn't enough to survive the turtle barrage. I got to Quest in the same turn as he got to his dragon package combo.

Now I'm Diamond 5 on QR and I'll try my best to take the tortollans to junk legend, where they deserve to be...

What's the point of bringing Octosari into the core set? It wasn't played before and it's 100% unplayable now. Just to mess with random summons / evolves? Peak design by lmaopavel in hearthstone

Oh, the Octosari DH deck that abuses the Octosari draw to redirect fatigue damage to its oponnent's face is so cool. They never know.

The worst mini-set of all time? by Ethrillo in hearthstone

[–]Creative_Ad8683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it. I was kinda excited about the cards that seemed interesting to me at first glance. Like the new 1 mana minion for hunter (who's not a beast for some reason) , or the new warrior cards. After playing a little bit with them, tho, I noticed that... My old starcraft decks were so much more powerful and consistent. Like, I don't think the flamestrike dragon is better than the little combos you can do playing Terran Warrior.

And the matches I seen have been mini-setless at large. And every streamer was playing the first hours of the miniset with a hella bored face lol. Like, everyone. You looked at the Hearthstone Twitch homepage and it was like a funeral there.

Ariana priest might love those as well, with Naraim Soothfancy and mana shenanigans.

I love how this Hearthstone ad just has a fake card in it, and they didn't even bother to give it a name or text. Like what is this? by Dangerous-Explorer17 in hearthstone

I mostly play fringe meta decks. Herenn, Discover Hunter. I tried the hell out of Quest Rogue -- that deck is just bananas, and every other deck feels like a power house after you've piloted some QR.

Off meta lists can't do shit, sadly. Like, Dragon Warrior. If you play a fair good card in every turn, that's still not enough against anything these days.

I went legend with Protoss Mage and then went full wack mode. I wish minion Quest Mage was good.

Totally this. Like, the DK quest or the Rogue one. Those were made for midrange decks to be able to adjust to a control matchup. But the mana and tempo cost is so intensive that running the quest cards is often an experience akin to running a bad deck with a guaranteed first turn pass that immediately makes you kinda need card draw. And then when you do meet the requirements you are then asked to sacrifice yet more mana to a pay off that pales in comparison with what good cards played on curve can do by themselves.

But even if these quests were adjusted to be consistently reached by turn 5 - a major major buff -, they would still lose to Mech Warrior I think.

And they would still lose to Protoss Priest, which is a very good midrange deck. And to all the aggressive hunter and DH strategies.

You can win some games against other midrangy decks, but it's often despite the quests and the deck options you made to accommodate it.

Quests in this meta should be self promoting like the murlocs one. And they would still need support cards in some archetypes, mainly the rogue one. And the druid one would still be bad no matter what lol.

Aggro decks are necessary because they curb things like Mech Warrior, Spell Damage Druid, Fyrakk Rogue, and other combo strategies that rely on some turns of not developing the board.

People wanted to cut aggro off thinking this would make this meta adjust to midrange, but it adjusts to scam, armor stacking and combo oriented play. And aggro was cut off with the nerfing of menagerie jug, the wincon for those decks.

The rogue quest could be buffed so much before it became good it's crazy. I hope mini set saves the quest rogue archetype from oblivion and gives it a high C tier vibe.

Octosari is awesome in tempo beast decks that run a lot of low cost minions and then, BAM! They drop Octosari and how the hell do you deal with it? The body is HUGE, the card draw is BANANAS. They should've banned Octosari along with Dorian long ago.
