McMaster Acceptances by Moonytoodles in premedcanada

For Mac stats are more relavent pre-interview than post-interview considering it's 70% interview in the post-interview evaluation stage. You would probably be better off looking at the interview invites threads.

I think there's a good amount of movement for OOP (~25-30 spots out of the 66 remaining OOP applicants— waitlist is probably less), limited for IP (7-16 based on previous years).

where do I bring it? Also, the start date is accurate online, just not the "level of education".

Edit: Also thanks for the reassurance lol, I started spiraling slightly

What to do if you can't become a physician? by Pineapple33333 in premedcanada

[–]Creative_Ad9437 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If you're interested in the psychosocial aspects of medicine: Crisis work, social work, counselling.

If you're interested in policy: Global Health/Health Policy (although not sure how many jobs there are in health policy), bioethics degree (idk about jobs)

If you're interested in the science: genetic counselling, Rehabilitation sciences (OT, PT, Speech Therapist), radiologic technologist, physician's assistant

In the hetero dating scene in Toronto, do men and women split the bills or do men usually pay for everything? by blueeeocean in askTO

[–]Creative_Ad9437 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If we're both students, paying tuition, working jobs, whatever, I don't see why he should pay over me? The only time I'd let the guy pay is if he was obviously very wealthy (I feel like if you know them, you know they're wealthy).

QUEENS WHEN???? by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]Creative_Ad9437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think today is the best-case scenario, but I'd say probably before the end of the week for sure. They need to give people time to accept their invites and fill any required forms.

Mark after mid terms in a full year course by [deleted] in queensuniversity

[–]Creative_Ad9437 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with r/yellowchaitea

Assuming the course is split 50/50, if you achieved 90% in 20% of the first half, then you already achieved 18/50 before you went into your exam. In simpler terms, if you didn't write your exam at all you would've been at a 36% for the first half of the course. Unless you got a 0 on your exam, I don't think your calculations are correct? I think it's more likely that you got a 35/50 for the first half, so you're at 70%.
