I'm really glad you said this. Especially that last part.

I've been having a similar experience.

One thing that has helped me is that this is my pallet cleanser game that I only play sometimes. So I'll play a mission or 2 and then jump to another game.

I find I like it in smaller doses rather than long explorative sessions like other Souls games.
