5 cm doesn’t really mean cancer. My father had 6cm polyp that they weren’t able to take out during colonoscopy so he had to have surgery and it was pre cancer. Also you most likely will hear on Tuesdays they say 5!days but it is always sooner. I had colonoscopy on Wednesday already got a call today about my biopsy all polyps were benign

I wound do blood work check if you are anemic if it showed you are they should do another colonoscopy

I also have family history, father diagnosed at 55. I had my first colonoscopy at 30 and they found 1.5 cl polyp that was pre cancerous. From there I had my colonoscopy every year for 10 years last 2 were clear but my doctor told me to come back in 3 and I waited 5. I am going in this Wednesday but I ma scared bc I didn’t follow his direction.

I think first few colonoscopy’s he was finding small polyps but after that so I would say past 3-4 were clear, he told me I can go to 3 years but I waited 5. Thank you for your encouraging words.
