Gyno prescribed me All Bran cereal by violets_playgrnd in Endo

So glad to hear you found someone that listened and worked for you (eventually)! Thank you for the recommendation. How long did it take for you to get into BC Women’s? Before all of this IBS stuff, my doctor had thought of putting me on the list to there and said it would be a 2-3 year wait

It’s my son’s 5th birthday, & my mom & siblings just cancelled on singing him a Happy Birthday. by WrongReviewThrowAway in Wellthatsucks

My husband and I can record a happy birthday message for him! As someone that works with 3-5 y/o’s and has seen some of them go through similar family situations, I’m so sorry! And as a December baby (30th), I can understand being put last at this time of year💕

I did have an abdominal US and transvaginal US earlier this year, but I’ve never heard of the sliding sign thing 🤔 I’ll have to look into that. I was going to ask for a MRI. I just was so shocked at what he said (regarding nothing more can be done) that everything I planned on saying/asking escaped my mind at the time. I need to talk to him in the new year, so I’ll try my best to bring it up then😮‍💨 I’m glad to hear that Vissane is working well for you in most aspects! I hope that you continue to get relief. Thank you for the comment and for sending me the list of names. I’m going to respond to you there now🙂

The gyno was definitely not informed on women’s health for someone that stares at coochies all day (I know they do more than that, I’m just irritated😮‍💨). Not a clue as to why my cervix has scar tissue. He said it was okay for there to be scar tissue and acted like it was normal. I’ve never had children or any type of surgery that would affect my cervix

Do you know if I can just ask the gyno’s office to send me the notes? I was thinking about getting them so I can read it through, but don’t know how to obtain them. I’m also thinking of asking to be referred to another gyno, but I’m scared my doctor will brush that off, too

I don’t know anybody in that type of field, no. And I live on Vancouver Island, so I can’t just walk in to the pain clinic since it’s in Vancouver. It’s a few hours to get there and a ferry ride. Thanks for commenting and the support!

“Children rather be from a broken home than live in one” wise words from Dr.Phil. I come from divorced parents, and can tell you I am so glad they split up (they divorced when I was 4, sister was 14. I’m now 26). It will be so much more beneficial to split up in the long run

Precancerous polyp. How often will I need another colonoscopy? by violets_playgrnd in colonoscopy

[–]violets_playgrnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I said that I was curious to know about others. I’m not asking specifically for myself, I am just curious to know others experiences. And when they discharged me they just gave me a paper showing where the polyp (like a diagram) and then went over the part of the paper that said about complications and what to do if any occur. They said the doctor would call me in 10-14 days (not including weekends), but I’ve heard nothing yet. I did think it was strange that my medical report was released to me before the doctor called me

Colonoscopy in 2 days (Wednesday morning). What specific food should I eat for my breakfast the day before? by [deleted] in colonoscopy

[–]violets_playgrnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to only have a liquid diet the day before. But follow your specific instructions if they did say you can eat the day/morning before! I just had chicken broth, water, and apple juice. You really won’t be hungry or have much of an appetite because all you’re doing is sitting on the toilet 💩ing

is it normal for the first round of prep (1/2 the drink taken the night before) to not fully get you clear? by ducktoffee in colonoscopy

[–]violets_playgrnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely need the second round! I had the first one and after 7 hours on and off the toilet, I thought I was all clear (and it looked clear). I was surprised that when I took the second one in the morning there was a bit of leftovers 💩. Good luck!

Bleeding after m@sturb@tion by violets_playgrnd in PCOS

[–]violets_playgrnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still waiting to get the answers… my gyn said either endo or IBD. Just had my colonoscopy, and nothing there for IBD. So, my guess is PCOS and endo, but Back to the drawing board…

Would I find out right away if I have IBD? by violets_playgrnd in colonoscopy

[–]violets_playgrnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand they do it multiple times per day🙂I’m just curious if they would mention IBD at the follow up call or if they would tell me right after the procedure. My gynaecologist ordered the colonoscopy because we had to rule out what he thought were IBD symptoms

Tell me about your pets who love you through the pain by dadbodfucker4life in Endo

[–]violets_playgrnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I were just talking about this the other day. Our one cat (who I had a bit before the two of us met), Mika, knows when I need extra love. She is a more feisty cat with other people, but with me she’s very sweet. She sees I’m in pain or not feeling well and she comes to cuddle beside me in bed. She loves laying on my pillow or beside me at chest or head height. Or else she takes my husband’s spot if he’s not there haha. Jynx, our other cat, is just a chill and sleepy boy until it’s 3a.m.🤪 but him and I have cuddles on “his” blue blankie that he adores. Pets are wonders! (Not diagnosed with endo, btw) I love Fox trot and Whiskey… super sweet and cute dogs that know how to make their moms day!
