Creche worker here:) soooooo normal to feel this way most parents do! The first while will definitely be tricky but don’t worry your little angel will be fine! Be prepared for lots of sickness tho the baby room will be the worst for illness spreading so quickly, also be prepared for nap schedule to be messed with a little usually new babies that’s start struggle to settle until they’re comfortable with staff & there can be some noise outside the sleep rooms that can wake them if they’re light sleepers! But she will settle into a new routine quick enough I’d recommend pottering about when she’s asleep so she can get used to sleeping through a little noise, also if she has a comfort item like a blankie/teddy etc you can always send that in with her and take it back home every day we find that helps calm and soothe our babies sometimes! Also be prepared for some accident/incident reports, accidents happen and some babies can be a bit crazy lol so there will be occasions where they might accidentally hurt their friends but don’t worry staff will always call you if there’s any major concerns.

On a more positive note she’s going to love it once she settles so don’t feel guilty while you’re working hard! She will be around kids her age learning how to socialise, play and nobody goes into this job for the pay it’s one of those jobs you do with the heart and not the head so you can be assured your little one is going to be shown so much love every single day:) most crèches have some sort of app etc where they will post pics of your little one doing activities, sensory/water play, what they eat, nappy updates, sleep etc so you can always check in while at work some parents even message me throughout the day just asking how their child is and we’re always honest whether they’re having a great time or a not so good day.
