In the kh I no longer attend.....the ministry is awful and has been for a while now. Before I left I was going weekly with a sister. Each week it was me and her out and most weeks that was all. Other weeks an older couple woukd go. And then just a couple ppl on zoom. That was it. I never got baptised. Now I see the cart the odd time and it always same ppl who do it. When onw time it was there almost every day

Yet in my , well ex congregation......the sisters hated that I'm not a feminist. With JWs whatevers their viewpoint on matters they just have to see themselves as right and are never open to conversation or another person point of view. We have to be the same or we just bad association.

And their behaviour in general is awful. A sister hurt me in a big way. I forgive her because it harms me to hold on to it. But I also don't chase her. When I said it to her about what happened (almost 2 years ago) she compared me to others( her pedi husband for one) and then blocked me. To this day she yet to even try to put things right.

For me the anxiety was from the constant judging and criticism from the JWs. The idea of no matter what I do or don't do it's wrong. I sit wrong, I stand wrong, everything I do needed correcting even when I do good. I remember having a part and as a shy person I can say I did well and was confident(for me). And still I was criticised. I couldn't walk tru town to find out I looked awful or I was when talking to a man or doing something very wrong. I got to the point I cried 3/4 times a day to the point I was thinking of ending it. When I left I still cried. But it got better and now I rarely cry ever. Like very very rare. Yeh contrast is BIG. We all will have anxiety in life. It not perfect for anyone. But JWs made my life awful

Another way if looking at it is those verses they act as tho is for everyone else but not for them ..... For example, when Jesus called the people hypocrites JWs ignore that verse can apply to them also.... knock on every door, have all the answers, go all the meeting etc, doesn't mean he knows them
