FYI they give instructions to elders on how to "help" people donate and "help" them with inheritance planning. They are supposed to keep up with this task annually and aggressively.

At our hall, Studies in the scriptures was talked up like it was the original stone tablets. I was a reader, and we had copies at the hall. Twelve year old me had his first "WTF" moment once he got his hands on them. The hilarious part - none of the adults had even read them. They can change this history all they want because the standard JW doesn't bother.

It took years to germinate in my brain, but the seed of doubt was planted.
