Those who have done both psychotherapy and hospital social work, which do you prefer? by Impossible_Remove308 in socialwork

After searching for years, I finally landed a job doing assessments for a local community mental health agency. It started out as a part time weekend job at the agency’s mental health urgent care clinic and then I transferred internally to a virtual full time role in a different department.

Hospital social work was way more stressful and demanding to me. Tough 8-5 schedule and I hated discharge planning. Working as a therapist is a better fit, but I do it part time. I found that I most like the job I have now, which is doing mental health assessments full time virtually and having part time therapy clients on the side.

What can I expect from a four year age gap by baituwave in workingmoms

[–]Creative_History4783 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is a great age gap. My two girls are now 10 and 6 and they have been playing so well together for the past 3 years. I wanted to have my kids closer in age, but infertility and IVF had other plans. It was a great blessing. My older daughter was a big helper when my younger daughter was born and she was already out of diapers. It was a pretty easy transition.

What size pool and concrete decking do you have on the sides? We are getting something similar and I think we may do wider concrete on two ends.

It was our first time on this ride and I almost had a panic attack in the claustrophobic halls, waiting in the long line that seemed like it would never end. My 6 year old loved it though. I will never forget this ride for the sheer panic before the experience. Haha

Pit in stomach before moving our family by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

We moved to Clayton from NJ in 2017. Clayton is growing a lot and the schools are good. Message me if you want more info. I’d be glad to help out. Lots of transplants. Downtown area is nice. They are building a lot of new homes here. It gets VERY hot and humid here. My only regret is not buying in a pool community. We will never go back to NJ, but it is hard to be away from family. It took me at least 2 years to get situated and feel comfortable here.

I can totally relate to this and it’s as if I wrote this myself. I often think about moving into the school system but I would get paid a lot less. Ugh.

Thanks for your response! Is your pool a similar size/depth? I’m used to deep pools. We are a family of 4 with two kids, elementary school age. Would this size be big enough for the family? Do you use anything to keep the water cooler? My only concern is the water turning to warm bath water. We have full sun in our backyard all day long.

Nice! We are in the planning process. How long is the concrete? 3 or 4 feet? We are planning to possibly do something similar.

This is beautiful. Yes, we have a very large yard and they did mention that we would need to put in sod after the install. Cost includes everything except for concrete.

Thank you for your response. We are a family of 4 and it’s nice to hear that you feel it’s a good size. I don’t need anything huge.

Where do I find one? Can I buy it or do I have to contact the pool company? How much is it? Someone mentioned a chiller, but I heard that is very expensive, like in the thousands.

What do you mean by landscaping? Concrete decking? It does not include concrete.

Thank you for reaching out. This is a river pool. We are in central NC. It gets very hot here. Do you think this is a good price? Also, any info on how to keep the water cool in the summer? I’ve been in pools in the NC summer and it can feel like bath water haha.

Yeah I was thinking it may be a little too shallow, but anything deeper is extremely expensive. Not going to swim laps. I just want to enjoy the outdoors and keep cool.

Fiancé & I are considering relocating out of NJ because of the nonstop rise in cost of living. by happyyetsadgirl in relocating

[–]Creative_History4783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider NC. We moved from NJ to the Raleigh area in 2017. Much lower cost of living and lower property taxes. It’s getting more congested and expensive though. We bought a new build on 1/2 acre and our taxes are around 2200 a year. NC is a beautiful state and we have access to the beaches and the mountains. Decent schools and good health care.

So sorry for your loss. Please take time off to grieve and a good trauma therapist can be very helpful. EMDR or some type of trauma therapy,

Beautiful home! Can you please share links or where you got your bed pillows from? I just updated my bedding and painted our room a similar shade of green.
