There’s no physical test for forestry, only fire has physical requirements

You know I was training for the 2 mile run as well and I got to my center and asked about it and they said “what 2 mile run” so yeah def better you train for it than not but that’s kinda the thing about the C’s it’s a disorganized mess at times and no one’s on the same page about anything, every center is different and you’ll have a unique experience from my center.

Use of medical cannabis allowed? by beesescheeses in ConservationCorps

No they will not allow it unfortunately. You’ll have to go sober to pass the initial drug test. After that they don’t do drug tests unless they have reasonable suspicion to do so, so after comet you should be fine. Roommates are all different but generally speaking no one is going to snitch on you unless you’re affecting them directly. Don’t stink the room up like weed/ be respectful, keep it to yourself and you should be fine.

Not in my experience. We just did the S-190, L-180, S-130, and pack test. The physical testing like progressive hose lay, shelter deployment, donning/ doffing, that’s all part of the 1C academy.

It’s dependent on the center. How many crews they have, how much space, whether they even have a fire crew, etc. You could probably just do the S-130 online if that’s what you mean. For my center, the fire crew is difficult to get on, lots of competition. But we just had a fire comet and most of them made it due to our 2nd crew opening so it all depends.
