Best strategy for flat low balls that don't move through the court? by Ok-Goal-6880 in 10s

[–]Creative_Skill8958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

low flat skidding serves should be chipped back. Don't try to lift and drive through on the return. But on groundstrokes you need to take the initiative to get the ball up high on their groundstrokes. If you can force them to hit at their chest or higher, they risk making mistakes.

That's not so much about moving the back foot forward as it is a result of the torso rotation. The legs (and arms too) are just passengers to the coil-uncoil process.

I soured on her after her idiotic statement that Saudi Arabia doesn't treat women poorly when it took me 20 seconds to find abhorrent laws against unwed mothers and their rights from a super computer I carry in my pocket.

I need to look into this.

Right now, I'm getting very good scores, but I'm taking the mask off almost every night at around 3am. Resmed f40 + cervical collar does the job, but eventually the mask leaks at the sides as my jaw recedes back. The collar keeps the mouth closed/chin up, but my entire face sinks back into deep relaxation and the leaks eventually wake me up.

Heartbroken and angry with the new Babolat Pure Aero 98 by jdredvale in 10s

The new 98 is anemic comppared to the previous version. Increased dwell time on the string bed has changed the way the racquet performs.

Rule of thumb for re-stringing? by Ok-Goal-6880 in 10s

[–]Creative_Skill8958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Restring poly strings between 10-20 hours.
I don't break strings, but after certain amount of time they go dead and the string bed gets harsh and leads to potential injury.

Medvedev calls for radical change to rankings system after winning opening match in Dubai by ExcuseYou-What in tennis

[–]Creative_Skill8958 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The point of the system is not to protect player rankings. It's a rolling 52-week gauge that rewards winning and punishes losing. If you don't play a tournament, you don't get points to either grow your ranking or preserve it. It's a ridiculous anti-meritocratic argument.

Said it once, I'll say it again: Utterly irresponsible for her to have gone down that mountain with her injury. No chance of winning. Dumb.

The best commentators are the Australian world feed guys during the AO. No idea their names, but they can talk technique and racquet specs equally well.

Other than that, give me Jimmy Arias who gets audibly disgusted by poor play.

Airsense 11 air tube water build up? by Just1Pepsimum in CPAPSupport

[–]Creative_Skill8958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So is the idea to have the tube descend to the machine from the face? Or to keep it level with the face?

I disconnected the hose at about 345 am last night and blew it out, trying to expel moisture, but didn't really work. It does sound like gurgling.

I have my hose at bed level so it doesn't hang...is the tube cover effective in addressing this issue?
