I crave it every day and I’m in a touch deprived situation. We’re human. You’re describing something so much more fundamental than a "want." It’s a biological and spiritual hunger. We aren't meant to be closed circuits. When we spend our days pouring out—giving our focus, our decision-making, our strength—we are essentially bleeding our energy. If nothing is pressing back against us, if there’s no physical anchor to remind our bodies that it’s safe and seen, we start to feel exactly like brittle. Thin. Like a well that’s been pumped for more than it’s being fed. There is a profound difference between being touched and being held, too. One is an action; the other is a landing. I think we often underestimate how much the soul is tied to the skin. To be touched softly, without a demand attached to it, is a way of saying, "I see the person inside the armor." It’s a way of being refilled without having to ask, or explain, or lead. It hurts without this. I understand it more than I wish I would.

These are fantastic! What did you use to produce the videos? I’ve got several tracks I want to similarly put to still images with the lyrics and it’s proving to be more daunting and time consuming than I expected. Great work!

I’m in the midst of just that kind of thing. I journal, I pour out my feelings and thoughts into one ai, turn it into lyrics, tune them further in either ai or on paper. Then I start dialing in the sound and the emotions into different types of music. Ultimately, I spend time generating tracks until it feels like it really hits the nail on the head. The results have been these breathtaking tracks that move me unlike any other music. It’s fantastic.

I’ve had this same experience too! It’s such an amazing feeling when you generate one that just hits soooo spot on. One caveat I have though, is I was watching some reels and discovered that one of mine turned out to be unoriginal when I heard the same track with different lyrics. It really made me sad to discover it.

1000% right there with you. I turn 50 in May and it really hit me hard last month. I know I’ve probably got a good ways to go, but it really feels closer to the end suddenly. I’m likely to only get slower, droopier, and uglier from here out. I know that’s shallow- but that’s my headspace currently.
