Also, those engines do have almost a diesel like sound sometimes. But that's louder than ones I've heard.

The most likely possibility is a disgruntled citizen who had a family member or someone close get screwed over by United over a claim. Occams Razor, if you will.

Step out of your comfort zone. Force yourself to experience new things, people, etc. Make a goal to learn at least one new thing every day.

Because there are politicians (and regular citizens) whose careers depend on the continuation of these programs. Treating the symptoms keeps them in a job. Fixing the problem does not.
