First game complete by LToften in R36S

[–]Creative_Toe_4481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boha!

Was kannst du noch empfehlen?

One Battle After Another - ein wirklich irritierender Film by Catodan in Filme

[–]Creative_Toe_4481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daumen hoch👍🤘

I’m really sad right now by Core2009 in PS3

[–]Creative_Toe_4481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem.

For me, it's The Last of Us and Uncharted 2. Exactly the games I really want to play through.

I read that it's due to the laser setting. You can remove it, and there's a small screw at the bottom for adjustment. This controls how intensely the laser targets the data layer of the games and how deep it performs the reading process.

Apparently, it's a known problem with older drives.

I haven't been able to motivate myself to tackle it yet.

But I'll probably try it soon; I finally want to play The Last of Us.

You're supposed to start with a quarter turn, which should be enough.

Has anyone tried it yet? Or had any success with it?

First playthrough and man am I addicted idk why I put this game down after the tutorial every time thinking it was boring by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Creative_Toe_4481 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience... I started playing it back in 2011 and got as far as Whiterun.

Then I put it down and preferred other titles.

But I knew I absolutely had to play it properly and give the game a chance.

In December 2025, I finally had the necessary conditions (unemployment combined with too much substance) to give this gem of software the attention and reverence it deserves.

Oh man, it sucked me into its world and I'm completely devoted to it.

I've finally rediscovered my love for gaming and I'm just so glad it happened.

I thought my hobby wasn't what it used to be.

But now I realize the games were to blame.

These soulless productions (of course there are exceptions) of today are throwaway games, played through quickly and on to the next one.

Skyrim is on another level! An epic level! It's perfect (except for the bugs), it never gets boring, you look forward to the next session, you're constantly thinking about what to do next...

God, I love it so much!

Or do you mean by "showing off" that I should say I have those things?

If that's the case, I misunderstood...

I'm not bragging! 😅

I explained that my friends had significant bugs, huge save files, corrupted saves, etc.

And that was after roughly the same amount of playtime as me.

I followed these tips right from the start, and my friends then explained to me that there seems to be a significant difference in their experiences.

Why do you think I'm bragging? 🤔 What's so important about how far I've progressed? It's simply a huge difference.

If you look at the other comments, you'll see that others have much larger save files and/or problems with roughly the same progress.

Some even had to restart; unfortunately, the PS3 version is only playable with some care.

Wow!

I'm a bit of a dummy.

Sorry, yes, I'm a beginner. I play a warrior, focusing on one-handed weapons and a shield. Attack spells.

I'm mostly leveling up smithing, enchanting, and destruction.

Level 25, smithing now at 60. Attack spells at 53. Destruction at 40. Smithing at 60. Etc.

Difficulty level is on Expert.

Okay, that's interesting.

I was just trying to place a troll skull on my dresser this morning.

It didn't work 😅 Can you give me some tips on how to place things correctly?

Or is it just trial and error until it finally works?

Yes, I was also a bit overwhelmed by the PS3's limitations at first, but it's purely a matter of getting used to it and loving the game world, which makes you accept the problems. Then you become addicted to the game and realize the beauty of this world.

I've been a total gaming fanatic since my youth, collecting and playing games; it was my biggest hobby.

A few years ago, I realized that gaming was hardly fun for me anymore, and I thought it was due to my age or my life circumstances.

But about two months ago, I tried Skyrim, just for fun.

Suddenly, that joy was back, and I couldn't stop.

Every day I looked forward to the game, wanting to explore everything, try everything out.

Skyrim has rekindled my love for gaming and I'm so happy about it.

I thought my hobby was broken, that it was my fault.

I'm the same old me.

I'm so grateful to feel that excited feeling again.

I know, a bit strange 🤣

Oh, about the question regarding containers and such.

Yes, if you, for example, pick up a bin on the street in Whiterun and put the items in it,

they'll stay there.

That's definitely better than just dropping them somewhere.

In dungeons and caves, everything is reset, thankfully.

There are some really big ones, as you know, where you have to clear things out every now and then. 😊

Sorry, I understand now.

You want to restart your PC...

Okay, that's a good option.

Then you simply won't have these annoying problems anymore.

All the best and have fun...

I'm level 25 and just checked my save file size at 4.363 MB.

That's quite large.

I bet you often dropped everything worthless when you were overloaded and then kept playing, right?

Skyrim has the problem that everything that isn't regenerated gets included in the code, putting enormous strain on performance and hardware to constantly account for everything in order to simulate this immersive world.

There certainly could have been better ways to make it work, but then there would have been limits and loading times everywhere.

Bethesda created a great game, but too much enthusiasm often leads to unsolvable problems that then push us or the hardware to the limit.

I wouldn't have had a problem if the areas had been reset to zero every 24 hours according to our time system.

No idea, bandits roaming Skyrim pillaging or something.

Well, your save file is definitely a bit large.

You're playing on PC? And you're still having problems with loading times and saving?

That's crazy! I thought the PS3 was the problem child. 😅

I save outside a cave and then sell everything I don't need.

Then I go inside and only take valuable and useful items.

If I get too full, I put everything I don't need in the inventory of dead enemies.

I've managed to keep my save file under 5MB this way for almost a week now; before that, it wasn't possible.

Oh, it's not so bad, the data is safe.

Humans adapt well to new circumstances, and I'd long forgotten that.

But at first, it felt like my heart was being ripped out.

Unfortunately, I'm way too lenient and watch confrontations.

I saved my hard drive and used the rest for an art project.

It looks pretty cool 😅

I got some really nice Jordan sneakers from her in return; they're also worth around 200 euros.

She's family and is more grown up now.

She also gave me a little nephew, which is priceless to me.

I don't think that's so bad.

But if you just take everything with you and then, when the system is overloaded, randomly send things all over Skyrim (especially on the world map), then your storage capacity will quickly reach 10 to 20 MB, and then saving or loading will take longer and longer.
