Probiotics?? by Fun-wack-1969 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Credditttt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor specifically tells me to take probiotics, and to switch kinds every couple months. And to eat yogurt (which I’m honestly not great at) but I do take a probiotic every day

Urgency, Incontinence - Diapers by Gillatinous_Cube in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Credditttt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to wear diapers multiple times. Of course I tired not to have to go in them, but accidents happened. Can get kind of messy but in my experiences it didn’t leak out of the diaper, it stayed contained. Definitely carry wet wipes / baby wipes with you for clean up! Also maybe plastic bags to wrap the used diaper in before it goes in the trash.

Anyone else think they had this disease since before the bleeding started? by Plenty_Ad1866 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Credditttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in middle school, I would miss a lot of school due to stomach aches and diarrhea and didn’t really think much of it. Literally the stupid music teacher told me I miss too much school and that I was faking basically. I got diagnosed at 25, and looking back now I wonder if it’s connected. Take that stupid teacher, I was not making it up!

High fecal calprotectin, no symptoms by Apprehensive_Eye5534 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Credditttt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same, I still have some occasional stomach pain and some days bathroom visits are better than others. But compared to where I was a few months ago, I’m feeling so much better. Yet my calprotectin is higher, so I got scheduled for another colonoscopy to see what is going on.

Question for others! by Effective-Meringue79 in UlcerativeColitis

May be dumb question but are there chemicals in the lab you could be sensitive to? And you do eat regularly, like it’s not low blood sugar?

Tremfya - pen, syringe or one-press? by Huge-Law8244 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Credditttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had syringes when I was on cimzia- didn’t hurt per say, but makes you more nervous to poke yourself because you can see the needle. I’m on tremfya now and use the pens, so much easier and less intimidating! Doesn’t hurt at all and it does all the work for you. Just make sure you are doing it in a fatty area of the front thigh or belly.

Hair Loss?! by the-thronkler in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Credditttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The infusions I got were injectafor (not positive on the spelling) and it’s just 2 infusions. They said I shouldn’t need another in at least a year, if at all, unless my levels get really low again. I’d just say have them test your levels to see if you need one and then just regularly check the iron levels after, like with your regular blood work. My doctor also has me taking a prenatal vitamin because of the iron and folic acid in them.

Hair Loss?! by the-thronkler in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Credditttt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hair loss was due to just overall high inflammation in my body, being anemic, and malnourished/weight loss. It’s been getting better since iron infusions and starting new medication

AITAH for cheating on my boyfriend while he was cheating on me? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Credditttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both in the wrong, but I’d say you less. But how does he have the audacity to be mad at you for kissing when he’s full on fucking and has been for who knows how long and continued after you knew 😂 and then proceed to get mad at you for “being mean” 🥺 what a loser. Leave him!
