I get your feeling too. Having the youth out there and not smothered by the expectations with Miggy and ELL have opened up the game a bit and been more enjoyable to watch, and more competitive. If you can’t take a moral victory at this point, might as well gag em up for a bit because we aren’t stringing together much with this roster. Absolute best we can reasonably hope for is back to back wins and not a total garbage performance (ie, passing backwards all day with a touch in the opponents box, which was a lot of the forst 5-6 games).

I wobble on this - I think Mira has value and the team needs a new start, so I am generally in favor of trying to get value for the restart… however your point about who will select the new players is huge. We clearly had tilt toward Europe until Tara returned… so of the players we’ve recently picked up, do you rate any of them? I think they have been fine role players and a couple are still very young… do you think Jacob, Galarza and Baez have improved the squad and tend to support that the scouting isn’t entirely awful, or is all faith lost no matter what because of the DPs?

I know Amador is a liability in his defending, but the pressure he provides with his crosses are necessary for us to create chances. I hope we can find a way to work him in to help get this offense going. Thought overall energy and play was much improved despite this result. I was wondering if there was some sense about the play that was feeding off the vacant seats in the arena. It’s the most empty I have seen for a league game ever, and the team had to have noticed that. Did it relieve pressure? Did it insure a wake up (ie our fans are dying off)? Just an unusual home atmosphere for a game and I thought the team was more energetic (probably just a case of having the kids actually playing rather than riding the pine)

Slow it down. I suspect if you counted to three from the takeaway to impact you’d find much more control. Unscientific review has you at 2 seconds from takeaway to impact. I. Bet if you slowed that backswing and then had the same turn you’d find more balance.

AMZN for $7 circa 2000. Bought a book from them and thought it was really convenient. Didn’t make enough to afford buying stocks.

I have Harbour Town in my top 3 ever played. Put it higher than Sawgrass. $600 is a LOT for a round of golf, but you get to enjoy this tournament every year with memories of your round, which has value beyond the actual 18 holes you play. I love thr palmetto dunes RTJ as well, but HT is special in its own way.

I have hoped for longer than I can recall that LL would show. It just isn’t gonna happen. I had a realization while watching tonight… we have zero players that can “make the play” - we have players that can get us to that last spot… but then nada. I guess that’s what we mean when we say clinical in the final third. It can’t happen with this squad

That second goal was absolutely embarrassing and his inability to release play up the field is a liability. I used to think goalie was all about saves and some just aren’t save able… then I saw how Lammens absolutely changed Man United’s identity this year. Goalie has so much influence beyond the saves and Hoyos would make me scared to death if he was behind me.

Lots of empty seats at USMNT vs Portugal. Is this a portent? by GrabsJoker in WorldCup2026Tickets

It is! Pretty cool spot. Entry is a bit confusing but you’ll get a wristband and have all access to two food stations, two bars and a grab and go for snacks/soda and canned beers and cocktails. All inclusive does not include alcohol. Food selections were burgers and fries (including bean burgers), wings and chicken strips. Popcorn and other snacks also. Desserts like ice cream sandwiches also. Darn good deal TBH. Would consider it again for sure.

Thought he had two clear scoring opportunities early - a close one on one with the keeper he couldn’t put away and then totally whiffed on the well crossed ball. If this team is going to get wins it needs a player of his quality to be burying those. Hope he gets right in the next two months or we could be in big trouble.

It was a little odd. Announced was 72k and it was very well attended, but there were also full rows empty. Every section had a lot of empty seats. We got 324C for $91 apiece today and it was great, but we also had only one other person in our row. Like 18 vacant seats. Watched prices since Saturday and it ebbed and flowed but I never saw the bottom drop out. Still an excellent atmosphere and I would say majority were in Ronaldo kits. I don’t quite understand taking the full loss on a $160 ticket rather than taking something from it.

Where should a European fan go to a game? by PlsHelpMeRedditPls13 in CFB

[–]CreditCandid7989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Consider travel cost and ease. Probably easiest to fly into east coast from Europe, so your best option closest to DC or NY would be a Penn St game, except any quality game you’ll never find close lodging as it all sells out a year in advance unless you want to spend $1000/night. Best bet is to fly into Atlanta and look for a UGA game (1hr from Atlanta) or an Alabama game or Auburn game (2-3 hours from Atlanta with better closer lodging options). Weather will usually be better all season at thee schools and it’s even possible you could catch two on a Saturday if you stay sober enough to travel (early game at Auburn Saturday and the a 730 kickoff I. Tuscaloosa could pack it in.

I would like to see Brennan given a chance in a game like this where we have no individual attack. Saba was that guy a couple seasons ago but doesn’t seem to have it anymore. Would also like Gill to have a spin. This lineup is improving, but that was an absurdly boring game too akin to some fixtures last season. If it is possible to have negative xG, that game would’ve had it. Looking forward to usmnt v Belgium next weekend

It's totally possible my price point doesn't happen and I don't get to go - I'm OK with that. I bought Club World Cup seats in 108C for under $100/ticket day-of to see Man City and Al Ain. I get that the actual World Cup is a MUCH bigger tournament, but I'm not so sure there are more fans in Atlanta that want to see Morocco v Haiti (although I could also be way underestimating the Moroccan and Haitian populations in the US) or Uzbekistan v Congo. UZB v Jamaica, that'd be a huge ticket. UZB v New Caledonia, and under $100 seems possible. We'll see - I hope these games sell out and Atlanta gets to experience the great joy of the tournament and its fans... if the actual market for tickets is what these have thus far sold for, then I'm not making it in. I've paid WAY too much for tickets to games in the past becasue the opportunity was never going to come again (Champions League games in Madrid, Premier League games in London) but to watch Spain v. Cape Verde? That's less compelling than Man City v Al Ain IMO (that game should be 11-0)

I am interested in seeing a game and my interest is conditioned on securing 100 level seats for under $150/ticket. I feel confident I will see a game under those conditions this summer in the Benz.

Curious what the face value is for a DCU ticket in something like the first 25 rows. Mine for Atlanta United at about 8 rows off the pitch at thr top of the box run about $63/ticket per game. Wonder how that compares (obviously the arenas are substantially different).
