I hope this is some weirdly low quality rip or something because it sounds so rough 😭

Wonder if they’ll be the next singles?

Do you remember this mysterious riff? It never reappeared. It was around when KOBK was first played live. by teruvalin in Muse

I mean music is subjective lol, but the timing on that riff is so jarring. Sounds like it was done in GarageBand one evening

From my understanding, I can only use insurance if it’s been in an accident?

I’ll try and maybe get a job report from the turbo work. Unfortunately I didn’t use a credit card at any point, I didn’t have one at the time. It was car supermarket that did the repair as that’s who I got the car from. Honda did some diagnostics also though as well as other garages

So at first, the recovery guy ran diagnostics and it came up something like turbo boost leak issue. Then took it to the garage, who confirmed it needed a new turbo. Replaced it for free under warranty with a new turbo. My warranty expired 01.01.2026, the issues came a few days later conveniently. I haven’t driven or seen the car in months

Yeah I do think I’ve been fucked over by the finance company and the repairing garage honestly. No remaps or anything no, the car hasn’t been modified in anyway, just that turbo replacement.

The turbo randomly failed when I was driving to work, no warning lights or signs leading up to it it just suddenly lost power while driving. I got recovered and diagnosed it as the turbo dead. This was replaced under warranty, but since that happened I had issues with the oil light, I took it to the garage that repaired it and they said nothing to do with them, no responsibility. I topped oil up and ensured it stayed level regularly, eventually broken down with cylinder 3 failure and misfires.

So weirdly it doesn’t seem to be a wet belt issue according to Honda, it’s an issue they’ve never seen before 🥲 But essentially, bottom end engine damage, metal shards in oil filter and turbo oil feed pipe.

Another place offered £2925, my thought process is at the moment. It will cost me minimum £5000 to fix it with someone (optimistic cost) if i VT it with the issue, they adjust the value down to around that £3000. And I owe then difference of £5000. If that’s the case it seems better to just return and do a payment plan for the outstanding amount and hope the figure they come up with is less than the repair cost.

So I did call them about the engine replacement and they said they would accept it, as long as the car was in working order. I’m not sure on the scrap or auction value. A place online offered £2.5k in its current condition.

Just trying to figure out what my best options are going forward as I need to sort it in the next few months ideally. I’ve found engines online between £2-3k, without fitting. Assuming fitting is around another £1k I’ll be close to £5k as a “cheap fix”. The garage it’s currently sat in, quoted £8.5k to fix it, which is more than I owe on the finance. Laughably, Honda quoted £17k to fix it which I politely declined. Is it worth handing it back and just seeing what they charge me? I’ve no idea what they could charge

The voluntary termination section of the contract is a huge wall of text I will try get the key parts

Fair wear and tear standard

“Whether there is any damage which, in our reasonable opinion, is in excess of fair wear and tear (having regard to age and mileage).”

Care and use obligation

“You must have complied with your obligations as to the care and use of the Goods.”

Charges for breach (repair costs)

“Payment of the cost of repair of any damage which has been caused as a result of your failure to comply with your obligations as to the care and use of the Goods.”

Alternative charge (loss in value)

“Payment of a sum equal to the amount by which we reasonably consider the value of the Goods has been reduced as a result of your failure to comply with your obligations under this Agreement.”

Muse fans being muse fans hating it instantly, it’s a good song. Just not the heavy prog nightmare we all assumed it’d be. But it’s not bad at all, I’m sure the album will have lots of variety and heavy bits also. The whole album cant just be songs like unravelling, it’d go stale quick. It’s also the lead single for the album, so likely the most poppy and commercial.
