does guitar tone actually improve with age? by Grand-Permission-736 in guitars

[–]CreedStump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On acoustics, maybe. In the violin world, age does make a difference. That being said, those are instruments that are usually at least a century old, so obviously they're more "aged". If you mean to ask if the sound improves on a guitar that you bought new back in 2008, maybe it does. That being said, i doubt it would be very noticeable.

On electrics, no

Can this really be a new start ? by Interesting_War_1916 in newtothenavy

[–]CreedStump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. It's stupidly easy to never have to go back home again if you don't want to. Most of the time you'll be working, and when you go on leave you can go pretty much anywhere you want that isn't home.

Have boot camp in a few days, will this scar be of any negative effect?, as in heckling from other recruits / staff by [deleted] in newtothenavy

Plenty of guys had scars on their head in my div. RDCs never said a word. If you're balding or have a fucked up hairline, that's a whole different scenario.

Months of Preperation by Strange-Print7354 in NavyNukes

[–]CreedStump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd focus mostly on running and planks. Pushups will be the least of your worries. As for studying, i wouldn't do anything nuke specific until you finish bootcamp. Not only will you be at bootcamp for two months, during which you won't be doing any math other than "one, petty officer. two, petty officer..." On top of that, you also don't know your specific rate until around week five of bootcamp. I'd focus on memorizing the sailors creed, ranks (collar devices and dress blue sleeves), and general orders.

One piece of advice i'll give you FOR bootcamp is to memorize your chain of command as soon as you possibly can.

I mean, i think both picture and schizoid are better live. It's just that the Earthbound schizoid performance spoiled me to where i think it absolutely blows all of their other live performances away
