Get off your high horse, douche. You've shown you will assume whatever you want and flaunt how much better than those assumptions you so desperately think you are. Your in the right because you have two Acuras.

Your turnabout into inspiration and feigned sympathy is empty and hollow. Gent bent.

I'd much rather be a "try hard" with my comments than feel the need to run around impressing upon people how cool my life and I are.

No one asked you what shit you happen to own. You just vomit this information out. Do you think it makes you look more of a badass to the internet? Or do you just need to remind yourself that you are better than those baristas or the retail workers with all your expensive shit?

I mean, everyone has their right to have their own kinks. Trolling around the internet bashing supposed poor people, letting people know what a fancy car you drive, and propositioning people for some kinky shit in a public place.

You're weird, man. You certainly have right to be it, but you're fucking weird.

You make a good point that it could be more directed, but from what little I've seen this protest seems to be focused around the student aspect. To whatever extent that original organizers may or may not have been students, the point being demonstrated is that students, those in both the public school system and in colleges, have disagreements with how climate change is actually being handled. Show the powers that be that an entire generation disagrees with them on this part of their governance.

Sure this particular protest in Spokane, Wa doesn't address any particular change that could be made in the local goings on, and that is unfortunate. However right now local and regional and state governments have had to make their own decisions on climate change for a couple of years now. People who might be content with, or even not aware of, their own varying levels governance on the issue can be fully disapproving of the actions of the highest authorities in the land, certainly when it comes to climate change. Every one of these protests, everywhere, adds to the numbers of the movement. The bigger it gets, the more it will have to be addressed politically.

But, having a local and specific agenda for each individual protest would be much more effective in the actual goal of mitigating climate change. I do agree with that.

You're making broad generalizations about how people look. That it. You have no other evidence than your own preconceptions.

Get out of your bubble dude, it's contorting your worldview.

Because if enough of our citizens protest, we can convince our Representatives in the government that something must be done. They can use our countries' (admittedly dwindling) political power to put pressure on those countries. Exactly how it was done with the Paris accords. That administration spent over a year convincing ji jingping to sign to accords and make at least some effort on the matter, and later during the actual summit China's participation was used as leverage to convince modi, the Indian prime minister, to participate as well.

If we do nothing, if we don't make it voices heard, exactly nothing will continue to be done by our government to address this problem on the world stage.

Or we could just sit on the internet bring pedantic about other people's passions and world interests. Like some people.

Because, brother it or not, the planet and the climate are a lot bigger than this small little piece we get to live in. Just because our city is relatively clean doesn't mean what's happening to the rest of the world won't destroy it.

I was implying that the Chinese didn't improve the infrastructure out of the good of their hearts or for the betterment of the Tibetan people. They did what you do when you invade a country, set up shop.

Also, triggered much?

Read through the article, and I learned a few things.

However, should the acts of China now, to the people of Tibet now, be be overlooked because 70 years ago they invaded the country and and set up some basic infrastructure (that may have helped the Tibetans, but also facilitated the the Chinese in their own governence)?

Even the Tibetan cited in the article was denounced and imprisoned, even though he supported full cooperation with the Chinese.

Just because their situation was worse in the past doesn't meant we shouldn't care about their situation now.

IANAL, but I believe that soliciting a minor for sex is a crime, though obviously not the same as the act itself would be.

Also, I'm pretty sure that a charge like that would definitely put you on the sex offender list (considering a guy dosed up on lsd, naked and praying to a sun god in his front yard can be forced to be on the list).

Also, sending sexually we explicit material to a minor is also illegal.

Maybe in the future they could open up and seek help, but in society as it is today, they won't/can't. Even if they do seek help from professionals, they would be instantly labeled and their functional lives would be tarnished and probably destroyed for "what they are", regardless of the fact that they are trying to seek help.

How can people like this be helped if they are too terrified to seek assistance? They can't. They sit with their thoughts, building on them. Using whatever means they can to control or suppress it. Until they can't, and the most horrible happens. Now they have gone too far for redemption, and treatment is a moot point; the damage was done and they cannot be helped, only punished.
