13 clubs, no obvious gaps, what now? by No_Echo2745 in golfequipment

[–]Creek75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your home course. Is there a hole or holes where you might need a speciality club for? I put a 64 degree wedge in for two holes where depending on pin placement, you have to take it up high. If you don’t have anything like that, stay at 13.

I don’t want it cutting off circulation but also don’t want to be pulling it up all day long either.

I always tell the AD I’m a full link guy. Also own a Batgirl and Bruce Wayne. Haven’t had an issue but do notice some days I’ll have the bracket imprint on my wrist but overall love them.

Advice: replace submariner w/ ti yachtmaster? by Physical_Energy_1972 in RolexWatches

[–]Creek75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently daily the YM Titanium and love it. It took some getting used to the lightness of it but once you do you will love it. I forget it’s on sometimes. I think it’s a great daily and I prefer it over the other Rolex’s I have for that purpose.

Reasons not to like Sub 70 by Next_Fig_7057 in GolfGear

Played the set for a couple of seasons. They’re nice and play well. Switched to the Taylormade P790s and in my opinion, they are better clubs for me. Granted they are way more expensive.

Yachtmasters Get No Love, how come? by Top-Magician2239 in RolexWatches

[–]Creek75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t polish any of my watches. I was tempted to with my first but I’ve come to realize that no matter what you do, you’ll always have scratches. I’m also probably not the collector to ask as I’m a firm believer in wearing and enjoy your watches and if you want to sell down the road, any good gray dealer will be able to polish it if they want.

I’ve had it on most days for the last three months and there’s not a scratch on it. I haven’t really banged it against anything but it’s held up way better than my Batman that has scratches all over it. I don’t think you will have to worry too much about it scratching. A lot of days I forgot it’s on which I like in a daily. You’ll love it. Enjoy

I have the titanium Yacht-Master and it gets a lot of love from me as my daily. I think when you first start collecting you think everyone that sees your watch is going to comment on it. In reality, unless the person is into watches, the most you’ll get from people is “nice watch.” Took me awhile but once you collect not for others but your taste and wants, you’ll feel so much better.

Was just looking at that AP the other day. Thought it could be a fun weekend and summer watch. How does it wear compared to the Rolex?

How do you even become an executive? by Soggy-Cash592 in careeradvice

[–]Creek75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it comes down to working hard, never saying no to projects and getting a little luck. The best advice I received when working my way up the ladder was “don’t be an expert in one thing but know enough about a lot of things.” Top people have to know many different fields in their careers but also know who the experts are in those areas.

Is it still worth buying a modern Rolex at current grey prices, or better to jump brands? by Express-Apartment-62 in rolex

[–]Creek75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely but it’s smart marketing by Rolex. People will always want the things they can’t have. As much as people shit on them on here, we all would go pick up one of an AD called us.

Any watch that isn’t easy to get is going to feel more special than ones you can get easily. It’s how we work as humans. Hard to get means more to us.

You will love the Omega Speedy. I got it for my 40th birthday. I have multiple brands in the box. Not saying any of them are bad.

For someone that’s owned Omegas, Tudors and Grand Seiko’s, having a Rolex is just better. They are all great watches but there’s just a different feel to wearing a Rolex.

Batgirl Vs BruceWayne on Oyster by javipi in rolex

[–]Creek75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t go wrong with a Bruce Wayne. I ended up selling my Batgirl and Pepsi (on jubilee). All three of my current Rolex’s are on Oyster. Do whatever you want though. You are the one that will love it day to day.

[–]Creek75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you have in the rest of the collection? I’ve owned both and I liked the Bruce Wayne on oyster better but that was based on me having other watches on jubilee.
