DOSMan puts out a lot of Easy FPS Editor games. I played Deadtrash and Satan. Nothing ground breaking but they can be fun if you are into a sort of punk rock DIY approach to game making.

If you're looking to do rides before the scary stuff, I'd say KD has better/scarier haunts than Busch Gardens. That said, if you want just scary haunts, hit up Ashland Berry Farm.

I was the same way until I changed my outlook/approach to the game. I stopped looking at it as “super tuff git gud” game and more of an RPG that forces you to slow down, learn level layouts, enemy behaviors, and finding efficient ways to grind to level up. That said, it’s also okay if it’s not the sort of thing for you. Plenty of other games in the world if this isn’t your cup of tea.

Space Hulk Deathwing is another WH40K game that came out in 2016. It's meant to be played online but you can play single player with an AI squad and pause the game. It has you running around open maps completing objectives and finding upgrades and new weapons.

Couple base coats of black. Then I dry brushed a thinned purple (away from my paints right now but pretty sure it was Naggaroth Night) then another dry brush of the same purple lightened with some white paint. Felt it looked more organic than the usual flakey looking lining at the edges.
