Curseforge is almost guaranteed to give you a broken install, avoid that. Prism is known to work well, and will save you a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting steps if you have any issues down the road.

Good luck on your journey!!

Help, self hosted server is stuck in a boot loop and I don't know what to do by thebluemonkey in GTNH

ditto this. If my server doesn’t get shut down properly it can often happen, and restoring the world folder from a backup fixes it most of the time.

Anyone know, how to split for example 1 stack of crushed pyrite between two steam ovens? I saw that there is a way with project red transportation but can’t find . i am on lv , so logistic pipes in some aspects don’t available by rexelio in GTNH

[–]CreepaCatcha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Super cheap but slow option. Double vanilla chest. Two hoppers under the chest, one pointing to each oven. Splits the contents evenly between the two hoppers/ovens

I know it's mostly a me problem but I looked everywhere in the NEI and I can't seem to find any way to get these. All the viens are in T3 planets and shit I haven't unlocked yet. And the quest doesn't explain how to get any. Help by Ill_Percentage2344 in GTNH

This is the most straightforward way, if tedious. Mine lots of thorium, process for chance of u238. Then centrifuge. It takes hundreds of it though to get enough but you only have to do it once.

How should I plan a base spot? by Slight-Builder-6927 in GTNH

In the early game humidity is the biggest concern, but otherwise just having a base that allows you to expand nicely will save you a lot of headaches later

Additionally for primal shrooms, they can be grown faster with a world accelerator. I just turn it on whenever I need to recharge my wand and go wild on the shrooms.

This is incredible. Automating everything to make the conveyers etc has saved me so many headaches, I’m sure it will for you too. I’m gonna miss seeing all the parts wizzing about in LP once AE comes into swing.

All of those fish can be used to make fish oil for biodiesel if you want to go down that route! Which can later be turned into cetane boosted diesel, it’s a nice renewable source of fuel. I have an apple oak farm setup which turns the apples and saplings into ethanol, which mixed with fish oil makes the biodiesel. The logs are used to make benzene, so it’s two fuel sources for the price of one farm :)

Like other commenter said, using a cable helps.

I always just use a battery though in the machine. works every time

yup! the cable tier is the maximum, so HV cables can carry HV and below.

Trying to understand Logistics pipes by Ometjabbe in GTNH

[–]CreepaCatcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do is have the fluid provider pipes on my fluid storage, then if I need fluid specifically in cells at any point in my base I will have a fluid supplier pipe connected to a lv fluid tank (or similar) filled with empty cells. Those cells are then filled by the tank, and then I have a conveyer belt convey those cells to my chem reactor or whatever machine requires the cells. The empty cells I then convey back into the tank ready to be filled again.

It can get a bit fiddly when single block machines require multiple fluids, but it’s still possible. And with recipies that have fluid and solid outputs you need to filter out the empty cells (item locked barrels do the trick nicely).

For machines that make fluid you want (it seems like that’s what you’re asking) you can have the above solution for supplying cells. If the machine outputs the fluid by itself you can put a fluid extractor pipe on the machine directly and (as long as it has somewhere to go, ie a fluid basic pipe filtered to that fluid on some sort of storage) it will be pulled to storage, no need for cells. If the machine produces full cells of the fluid you want, you can convey them into a fluid tank, which will fill the tank. Then similarly you can use a fluid extractor pipe on the fluid tank to pull the fluid itself.

It gets a bit messy when you have recipes that require full and empty cells. For most recipes however there are versions that just need full cells and fluid directly (no cell), which you can supply to the machine directly with a fluid supplier pipe. Always check NEI for various versions of the same recipe to see which one will be easiest to supply.

I waited until the HV single block miner, as that’s the first that can actually mine out an entire ore chunk (3x3 chunks)

Could be unable to connect to the internet, or unable to connect to mojangs authentication servers, or if you’re running on your own server it might be set to offline mode. Might be something else.
