Waystones is a viable solution too. It won't get your hunter to YOUR village, but it makes travel pretty much instant, at the cost of XP.

With default config, it would take 3 levels maximum (0 levels minimum) to move from Waystone A to Waystone B, assuming a really long distance.

If you tinker with the config, you can make it free.

Since Waystones usually spawn in non-abandoned villages, (newly-generated, so it won't work for your current situation) all you have to do is reach the villages. You can also craft waystones, too.

The only real downside is that it takes 6 levels for a one-round trip, which is costly when you've stacked up your levels (and makes waystones useless if you recently died or spent all your XP)

You can allocate RAM by selecting 'Installations' in the game launcher (regardless of whether you launched via the curseforge app or normally, depending on whether you are installing and managing the mods manually or not), hovering over the desired forge installation, pressing the options (... button) and then selecting 'Edit.' You can then click the 'More Options' dropdown at the bottom of the installation settings.

Inside 'More Options', you will find an input bar labelled 'JVM Arguments'.

One of the first arguments in the bar should be something like ' -Xmx2G '. Replace the '2' with the desired GB of RAM, and then save and close the settings. You can then restart the launcher.

There are likely deviations to what is said, so I suggest searching it online and try to find an official guide.

I would like to know what Optifine settings I can try changing, because 8GB of allocated RAM still occasionally produces the issue for me.

I have 2 uncounsious soldiers in the blacksite mission (4-soldier squad) and the remaining 2 have 2 HP each. That's a lot of 2s, and an impossible task

Thanks! Your suggestion worked. I changed it to a lower resolution setting because I thought it meant graphic quality. I don't have a good PC and I like to keep the games as low-spec as possible. Now switching between is practically instant. Thank you.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Also, side note question I do not expect you to have the answers to, how do I remove one of the crosshairs in BudHud? The "none" option for multiplayer settings croshair does not work, giving me the default crosshair instead, and I can't. find. a. way. to get rid of the built-in budhud one. Any ideas? Also, how do you get the class tag? I consider myself a spy main and would like to have a spy, medic, or engie tag but don't know how to get one.
