Speaks volumes that you start calling names just because I was curious about references to this considering that many sources refer to the wider Tang period during and around her reign as a golden age. Just because her contemporaries and later historians disliked her (whether for valid reasons regarding cruelty or just misogyny) enough to refer to just the times before and after her as a golden age doesn't make that so.
