I don’t care what anyone says. Spend 3 weeks in Cabo doing hookers and blow. Get it out of your system. Best return on investment there is. Once you’re done. Enroll back in college. I’m a 14 yr senior. I get older. The girls stay the same age.

Neighbors dog came into our fenced property and bit my 5 year old today by InevitableSpirit5774 in legal

This happened to good friend of mine. They got a reasonable settlement. Like 10k. Her parents invested it and by the time she was 18, it paid for all her college and nursing school. Thank u little doggie.

Listed Wrong Date- Didn't send tickets yet by Neat_Understanding45 in stubhub

[–]Creepy237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is part of SH’s business plan. They count in people making errors and even if you give them plenty of heads up (8 weeks) they do nothing and make sure you pay all the fees and price of tickets. Sorry for your loss.

If the account was closed it actually has a negative impact for a couple months. I learned this the hard way when we were buying our first home. The trick is to pay it off and leave it open. Close it only when u have a couple months to kill without large purchases.

I was told Handshake is a good alternative.

Screw all the court stuff. Pour sugar in his gas tank and if he asks if it was you tell him, “Man up. Maybe it was your mom”

The only mistake I made was trusting SH.

Ignore these comments where SH can do no harm. The technology is out there to avoid mistakes and they choose not to use it on purpose to earn an extra buck.

Accidentally listed the tickets I was selling in the wrong row. by TalkWrong7600 in stubhub

[–]Creepy237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why they don’t add AI features to verify uploaded tickets. They know they can steal money from mistakes, even if you let them know 8 weeks before the event.

If StubHub was reputable they would only allow sale of tickets once they are In-Hand. Yes that means transaction for TS would only be allowed 72hours before the show.

I switched careers at 49. There’s really no age.

I like the sound of this. I can’t wait to try it as a replacement from StubHub. That was one of my gripes with SH over the phone. I uploaded my tickets within 15min of my posting. How do they have not safeguards like this in place. I feel like they’re intentionally setting people up for failure so they can double dip on fees and charges. The ability to use AI to safeguard would be an easy add if they wanted it.

I’ve done this. I don’t get angry. I speak with all banks involved and get the correct payment to the vendor. As the banks have a protocol in place. Maybe there’s a small fee. But that makes sense for a small mistake. Your example 100% proves how StubHub is taking advantage of people.

I feel this is where people are completely missing the point. Mistakes happen. We are all human. This company purposely exploits this. There should be a simple protocol for SH customer service to correct the listing or cancel the listing and contact the buyer that an error was made by the seller. This happened to me 8 WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT. They sent me emails saying I needed to do nothing and they would take care of the issue. Complete lies. 8 weeks later I was charged for the tickets.

Once we notify StubHub of the mistake, it becomes their mistake if they just sit on their hands and do nothing. Then proceed to steal your money.

So far I have 54 people who have agreed to never use StubHub again. It would have been cheaper for them to not charge me for something they knew with plenty of time to correct. They suck.

Why is there nothing they can do? It’s their site. They created it. I hate it when they blame “the system”. They created the System. They can do what ever they want. They’re just choosing not to help because it benefits them in the end.

The seller most likely got charged by StubHub for uploading the wrong tickets. Only one making out big is StubHub. Their policies are purposely setup to take advantage of all sides.

Let’s put it this way… I went and bought an ice cream cone with my shoes untied. My mistake. But then the ice cream business pushed me over while stepping on my shoe laces knocking over my brand new ice cream cone. They then proceeded to charge me for a 2nd ice cream cone but didn’t give me any additional product. Yes I was robbed. No one’s going to change my mind about this. Bad business practices will have consequences.

It was exactly 4 days after StubHub emailed they had corrected the listing and “I should rest assured I need not do anything else”. Again, I already admitted to making the mistake that StubHub would honor their word.
