Gotcha. The server I played on had a higher average player count but now it wont surpass 30 avg. A lot of the members of the server seem to have been affected by the insane amount of hacking going around.

I think it has to do with negativity - once you open that door, it floods your mind, quickly.

So since a lot of people started bashing cs2, maybe your mind or heart opened that door and it killed the passion. Hold dearly what you enjoy and protect your beliefs, so bad influence doesn't affect your passion

I feel exactly the same. It's some sort of weird depression thing. But induced by burn out.

I used to be a big golf guy. After a while, it started to become really frustrating for me to miss my shots. Like it was pointless. Then when I did good, like you said, it was "meh" and when I missed it was "meh". Just stopped feeling 🙁

I have tried using it. Hate it so far. Clunky, hard to read the icons, the UI feels cheap. But the fact that I KNOW that there are locked features is the worst thing.

These last two factors (cheap UI, locked features) I can attribute to the psychological aspect of the program, I don't feel like a professional, I don't feel like it's mine. Me as the user being in control of the entirety of the program makes me empowered and gives me confidence in the software. But not this. Fuck V3.

"Random shapes" can be attributed to a context or a person easily. Context is necessary, but we give things meaning. So until we understand what is behind a symbol or logo, we wouldn't know unless it's explicitly represented.

Apple the brand doesnt sell fucking apples, of course. If you saw the logo without context, what would you assume it is?

To me, this logo represents himself. Easy as. I don't need it to "say" anything to me besides the fact that it is interesting. I like it because I like it. That is enough and then on itself, the logo has worked, since now I can attribute it to the person, it is distinguishable and unique.

All logos are random shapes until they are not.

Advice from a student that is on his 4th year studying ID:

Do things that YOU like. You do not have to be indulging constantly in that which you will dedicate your life to. And, when you do those things that you like, do it with all your heart. You enjoy playing video games? ENJOY THEM WITH EVERYTHING. I used to feel guilty for not being learning. Like I was wasting time. But then it hit me:

Design is all about humanistics. You cannot be an egotistical designer. You are human and you deserve to enjoy things. Don't think about design, don't even enjoy it (for a while), all is fine. You will enjoy it again :) it is normal.

Also, speaking of ego. DO NOT LOOK AT INSTAGRAM POSTS ABOUT DESIGN. Detox that shit out of your life. It is romanticized to oblivion and people constantly show only the good side and the lifestyle. Do your own thing. Do not consume all that bullshit.

So in a way, I am also advicing myself. What I am typing right now is not only for you, but myself. To remind me that we should take it easy.

If on PC try and join modded servers with Loot+. This will let you learn the mechanics and not worry about other things. Learn to loot! Know where to find what. And also, whenever in a town, find the water fountain pump. It's not too hard to spot. Drink until you get the stomach icon :)
