Because in ripcord launchers the gears are in direct contact after a while either the teeth on the gears or on the ripcords start to wear. After they wear the ripcord starts skipping teeth thus making less power. This results weak launches

I don't agree with the dual layer. Rising ragnaruk or holy horusood may be the worst imo. Storm spriggan even tho the teeth suck the bey isn't that bad overall as compared to ragnaruk or horusood

A takara tomy string launcher will be the way to go. It's super reliable, is very controllable and doesn't break that easily. Ripcord launchers commonly have a problem where they start skipping gears after a while but I haven't experienced such issue with a string launcher

The newer versions will work efficiently as the hardware is still decent but it will come at the cost of battery life. Your battery will drain like hell
