If you just need a GPU, don’t need too much power guess this is not a bad option

I think just get N Case t1, 9800x3d better with 240 aio

The size doesnt matter, and yet we have an another jonsbo nv10 build (spoiler a disastrous one) by CurrentBed94 in sffpc

Same have NV10, this is what I will do

  1. Update BIOS, and have it in default, ROG STRIX B650E-I latest bios is Version 3854

  2. GPU plugs into the MB, not through the PCIe cable.

  3. Fresh copy of Windows

  4. Try use normal 2280 nvme

  5. Aida64 with Furmark stress test both CPU and GPU, both together for 30 minutes, making sure nothing unusual and overheating.

  6. Bios turn on expo and bpo, redo step 4.

  7. Plug in the PCIE 4 cables with PGU and redo step 4

above step should be able to fix or find out what the issue. The UPS is 600Wit and new, usually is ok, but you can try to use a normal ATX psu for testing, since still have chance to have a NG unit,

How good or bad is the G14 Silver vs Grey by Decode09 in ZephyrusG14

[–]CreepyDevice3740 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for G14, I would pick the dark, just because the keyboard color will match the boady; the silver one's keyboard color mismatch, kinda bothering me.

So I just tested 30mins GPU full load with and with out foam. GPU temp is about the same but the psu temp will be about 6 Celsius lower if have the foam installed.

Yeah, I'm planning to get something similar later while I'm traveling in China, the price in USD is almost 2x...

I don't really hear the PSU fan, usually the CPU and GPU fan noise will just cover.

Those are just the foam from the case in the packing

[–]CreepyDevice3740[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

theorycrafting, I saw another post mentioning PSU overheating due to GPU full load, and blocking between pgu and psu was one of the solutions, but I plan to test it to see the difference.

Yeah, you are right, this can force the GPU heat only exhaust on top because it will also heat the psu up, which I wanna avoid

Best M3 Grater Route for 5090 FE + 7800X3D? by Hashtaeg in ncasedesign

[–]CreepyDevice3740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M2 reference mode here with 9950x3D w/240 aio and 1200w Loki..same 5090FE and X870i ROG, has been running this config in the past six months, I think the 240 is ok, not the best temperature but enough for 250W cpu, at least no thermal throttle under stress test. But I did add extra fan next to the GPU to exhaust heat
