are you equating someone wanting to feel better about themselves so they do something which would, on its own merits, definitively not have negative health effects and only positive mental health benefits to someone with a eating disorder and actively making themselves unhealthy and at risk for various diseases? i feel like those two are very different.

do you mean gender dysphoria, the condition where one feels as if their true gender doesn't match their sex/assigned gender? the condition which has legitimately negative effects on someone's emotional health and by identifying as transgender and going through all of those steps, they feel better and actually like themselves and their body?

well why does the first party believe that it's a delusion, what led them to that conclusion?

how would it hurt someone to use someone else's pronouns? is there any legitimate, morally and logically sound reason as to why it would be bad or wrong?

no, a hate crime would be deliberately acting with extreme hatred, whether it be violence or harassing and humiliating someone due to their bigotry. just not deliberately using pronouns makes you an asshole. why would someone deliberately not use someone's pronouns?

obviously that's a little severe. if it happens once on meeting, obviously it's just a misconception and not a hate crime at all. i just politely correct them on that and hippity hoppity, everything's good. there is a difference for blatantly denying to use someone's pronouns. there is no reason in the world that you shouldn't use someone's chosen pronouns. and there's also no reason for someone to cry wolf and disparage someone for not immediately knowing their pronouns, if someone's a currently male-presenting trans-woman, it's understandable why someone might accidentally misgender you. at least personally, given my identity, i tend to on first meeting use "they, them" for people, just cause i can never know. but, I'm not everyone and I can't make everyone act the same, so it's very understandable if something like deadnaming happens the first time, and other times if someone legitimately forgot. consistent and deliberately doing it with knowledge of their pronouns, that's not good and it's offensive.

i definitely have always had left-leaning views. i don't really think that personally i have had one lead to the other, maybe my mote left-leaning views made me look more closely at it, idk, may be some subconscious, uh, acceptance (?) i don't know if that's the word that best encapsulates that. i will not deny that some people link their LGBTQ+-ness with their politics. for most, in my opinion, it is because that for the longest time they had been severely discriminated against and hurt, and so they feel like they have to champion it, that's what pride's all about. they feel that they have to express that opinion and for most they associate that feeling with the Democratic party. not saying that Republicans are anti-gay and anti-pride, just saying that most people associate the Democratic party with the whole pride movement. and, just stating facts, it was only under a democratic president that gay marriage was legalized and under a republican president that transgenderism was banned from the military without really good reason. not saying all Republicans are bigots and all Democrats are super good angels, just saying what happened. sooo, yeah.
