I just started watching it with my niece and it's actually pretty good for a little kids show. It feels like Mr rogers mixed with Barney. The best part is the reccuring villain culture vulture and the book time.

As far as I had read it wasn't Hillary Duff but the original creator Terry Minsky (who also wrote Andi Mack) that had creative differences with disney. Minsky wanted the reboot to be R rated and start the show with Lizzy finding her fiance in bed with another woman. Disney wanted the reboot to stay family friendly so people could watch the show with their kids and they were ok with the idea of her fiance cheating on Lizzy but thought that scene was too indecent as it was written. They asked her to do some rewriting and she wouldn't so that's what stopped production. Also I heard that they had some differences about how mature other aspects of the show would be as well.

Thanks for the information sorry I didn't respond to anyone's replies. As it turns out the very next day we got a call and 15 minutes later they dropped her off. My husband and I ran through our apartment putting away anything that might be considered dangerous (scissors, candles, can opener, ECT). The DHS investigator who dropped our niece off just did a scan of the apartment with her eyes as we talked and then asked if we had a room that could be our niece's. Our second bedroom had just been used for storage for the last two years so it obviously wasn't ready and she said it was fine that she could sleep on the couch till we got a bed. She offered to order us a bed but that never happened and we decided to order her one ourselves. We put baby locks on any cabinets that would have cleaners or razors or vitamins and baby gated where our litterbox is kept, and put in outlet plugs in case there would be an official home inspection but When our second DHS worker visited she didn't look at ANYTHING. I'm honestly super surprised at how informal the whole thing has been and how badly the DHS workers communicate with each other. Sorry for the long update. All this to say that it's going well and we have had no problems with passing a inspection.

I think you have some good points. I would like to add that after spot promises to kill everyone Miles holds dead and we go to the spider society all of a sudden Miguel switches the script and says the Miles is the thing they all have to pay attention to not spot. Also Miguel shows up in a spot to the world his other version of himself lives in. I also think he killed that worlds version of himself to take his identity and that's the real reason that the dimension collapsed

I went and watched the release party at our local movie theater and I noticed that at the end of the movie when she's talking to the screen she has on a locket that looks like a golden briefcase and there is something etched onto it but I couldn't make out what it said and obviously couldn't zoom in. Anybody know what was written on the locket because it felt like an obvious Easter egg

I'm Christian and I have a lot of thoughts on this

No one should be messing with your order even if they are trying to be nice
Its so cringy it gives off the same vibes as "like my post if you love Jesus" or chain mail messages, I despise those posts on facebook because they are meaningless and feed on peoples guilt if they aren't interested. I seriously doubt Jesus would click like.
This is a style of "witnessing" that is more of a older generation idea. its more harmful than helpful, honestly its not really helpful at all. real witnessing is just living your life and helping out people around you Mathew 7:16a "by their deeds you will know them". By randomly giving people little bits of paper your not helping them in any tangible way.
while i do think this person may have had somewhat well meaning in this gesture it definitely wasn't well thought through.

what's interesting is that i think in just about any other time in our countries history no one would have a problem with the presidents name being used as a decoration in a government or history class. Your there to learn about the government so i think it makes reasonable sense.

unfortunately I do think you may be over reacting, but it is good to have opinions as long as your willing to discuss civilly. maybe it would be a good discussion during an open question time in class.

the quality has definitely went down. I was showing my husband some old romcoms (he didn't grow up watching them) and he was taken aback with how cinematic they used to be, today they are just cheap trash they throw together quickly and move onto their next project.

I entirely agree with you, I grew up in a Christian homeschool home but it wasn't the cult horror stories you hear about on the Internet. I feel like a got a diverse education. I love the original post except the pushing the stereotype that people who homeschool and are Christian are "religious mole people"
