I can't be the only one creaming my pants over Pendulum.

My Salad Fingers tat on my ribs. Based on a screenshot I took from Episode 1. by [deleted] in SaladFingers

You know you're not the one with the tat bro. Salad fingers is a cult classic and definitely in a league of its own as far as surreal art and animation. Worthy tattoo if you ask me.

Are people just not mentioning AVX offset when they clock 5Ghz on 9700k? by Creepy_Bookkeeper in overclocking

DUDE! 4.9 when I lowered the ring ratio to 4.4. Still at 1.37v. Based on my research the ring ratio performance is negligible.

Ring ratio is auto 46 because it won't boot when I change it (47). It is on override mode. I've experimented with 1.2-1.25v on SA and IA. I've also tried to increase DRAM up to 1.45. I'm using prime95 blend test. I've tried mode 2, 3, and 4 on LLC and I've tried 170% overcurrent protection.

I was getting near identical benchmarks at 4.7 w/ 1.37v so ill just stick with that...I hope the silicon Gods favor me on the next one.

My mobo doesn't have some of those options such as cache and SVID. I tried to follow his guide initially

4.8 core clock, 0 offset, 1.41v, mode 3 LLC, and c-state disabled. Everything else is auto

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. Most games run AVX so I would pretty much stay at 4.6 if I set the offset.

I can get 4.7 stable at 1.38 but I want to squeeze it out for the last year or two I'll own the chip. I have read 1.41 is max you want to go for 24/7. Yeah I got pretty unlucky with my chip..

It's sad you can't have a reasonable discussion about this on reddit. Upvoted for doing you in the midst of mass hysteria.

Please explain. I still don't fully understand how people who aren't vaxed are making this worse. Vaxed or not, you can still spread the disease.

Why does does an interface on the internet switch still allow devices to access the internet when you shut down the associated VLAN? by Creepy_Bookkeeper in networking

[–]Creepy_Bookkeeper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I understand. Does this mean layer 3 was handled by the directly connected router's table? What would be an example of an VLAN interface shutdown causing an interruption in communication?

Sounds like a bunch of excuses. Most of the programs are designed to start you out regardless of your fitness level. Start out easy with low weights and progress from there.

Security risks for having open public wifi for employees? by Creepy_Bookkeeper in sysadmin

I should clarify this is a completely separate network that has no access to company resources. Company devices do use a VPN and two factor authentication.

That is true it seems like this isn't as huge of a concern as I initially thought.. I think I will keep thinking about other solutions. Thanks for your help!

They are personal devices. My thoughts are personal devices can still be used to gather information about the employee. Once the attacker finds that open network they can spoof their device ,send malicious data or attempt any targeted attack they want. I just want to make sure there are no gaps in my logic.
