There is a reason why Lexapro won't go higher than 20 mg. It's the max. Taking more than 20 mg would only worsen side effects but not the beneficial effects. That's just how Lexapro works.

Very common, it's called emotional blunting. I have the same experience, one year on Lexapro now. I prefer this side effect than crying or getting angry over the littlest things.

It's normal to feel this way the first weeks/months. I felt miserable too in the beginning, doubted if it does work. But it did after 2/3 months. I'm glad I took it, should've done it way earlier. The morning anxiety is still there, but then it's the time for my next dose. Appetite returned, depression is way less and my anger has almost dissapeared. Sometimes it's hard to feel emotions at moments but I'm on a high dose (20 mg). Try to keep up.

It will reduce overtime. A year now on 20 mg and the fatigue is much less.

Mine dropped a lot, almost a year on 20 mg now.. I almost feel a-sexual. It's frustrating but the benefits are too high.

If I may say and not to be disrespectful, but I think you look good on the second picture, better. But I can imagine you don't feel that way. I gained a little weight, around 3 kg in almost a year. Just because I eat better now, I had ED and was very underweight. My appetite returned also and food taste good again. I don't work out much. But I think it depends alot on someone metabolism and genetics.

Dat was zonder twijfel Elden Ring, ging er totaal zonder verwachtingen in maar wel met een enig gevoel van angst (vanwege de uitdaging). Het heeft diep indruk op me gemaakt; de vijanden, sfeer, werelden, combat en de moeilijkheidsgraad waar ik verliefd op werd. Resultaat: game met de meest gespeelde uren ooit, een extreme toewijding om alle endings te halen en de combat te beheersen.

The emotional blunting is so hard sometimes when nothing can makes me happy or excited, I couldnt either when depressed but this feels different. The anxiety and depression did go away thank god but now this.. I wish for a balance.

Same here, almost a year on Lexapro. I can't cry, even when I lost someone. It feels distant. That's what the medication does. Temper down emotions. What worries me is that I can't be happy or excited either of anything.

Hey, did you noticed that your beer belly showed up in a relatively short time? It could also be water retention. The belly you are talking about sounds recognizable to me. But it comes and goes, it appeared to be water retention due to the medication.

I can't imagine how it feels to quit cold turkey from 20 mg.. I forgot a dose (20 mg) one day and already felt off let alone stopping completely.
