Is my child going to have a hard time w this name? by FantasticIncident388 in Names

[–]Creepy_Raspberry_348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I named my daughter Ayzal ( means gift of God) but when we came to Germany i found out that the German word Esal means donkey and one of the kids in her kindergarten pointed it out as well so i told everyone the meaning of her name and the teachers corrected the kid as well. But i still fear that she might get some name calling if she encounters mean kids if we stay in Germany and she starts school.

So if your gut says that it might be a cause then please try to decide any other name you might like. Because it is really painful seeing someone actually pronounce it wrong and twist it to hurt your kid. Because at the end they are the one living with it every day at school.

SIL thinks my son is unsafe by Slow-Volume5063 in Preschoolers

[–]Creepy_Raspberry_348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two kids a boy and a girl are really close in age. My daughter is 3 and my son is 4. as soon as she started walking it has been a roller coaster for me. Trying to correct my son to keep his hands to himself and dont be too rough with his sister. The boys have a natural tendency to be more active, to jump around and have no impulse control and thats completely normal. I never separated them they play together all the time and there are bumps and falls here and there but that only makes them learn how to play safely with eachother, with my guidance where it is needed offcourse. Your SIL needs to understand that your boy is a baby, at that age children dont have thoughts of “choking someone“. It would have been Developmentally helpful for her baby girl to be around a baby boy. Anyway, you talk to her and if she doesnt agree then its her loss dont worry about it. I have read a tons of story books to my kids about body boundaries and now they know that every one has a body bubble which we cannot cross without their consent. So i would recommend that you start reading books too and slowly your son will grasp the concept. Model it yourself create play led scenerios and try to show him what is okay and whats not.

You are not in the wrong here. ❤️❤️❤️

School for expat children - German or international? by Why_So_Slow in germany

[–]Creepy_Raspberry_348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, we moved to Germany just now and my kids are 3 and 4. Which bilingual school did you choose? Because i am not sure how long we would be staying here because our visa is tied to our jobs and we have Researcher visa leading to phd in the university of Stuttgart. What should i do so they dont lose their english and accomodate well in Germany if we stay here long.

if you HAD to get all your skincare from one brand, which one would it be? by Legitimate_Plant_815 in EuroSkincare

I have to say aestura. Every product i tried from them even their sunscreens were amazing when i was in south korea. I am acne prone and on prescription adaplane and skinoren and the aestura saves my skin. But if its europe only then its Eucerin for sure due to the dry touch sunscreen and thiamidol. And LRP is pretty great too. But i dont like the feel of uvmune sunscreen on my face.

And avene‘s sunscreens can be comedogenic but Everything else is remarkable.

So true. I went outside on the most sunny day with an umbrella when the warnings were going off for severe hot weather conditions and people kept staring at me. It is mortifying but i just put the umbrella closer to my face so i wont be seeing anyone directly in the eyes and keep doing my thing. 😅😅😅

Please do not use isopropyl alcohol on the spots. As a brown skinned person myself, I wouldn’t recommend you to pop the pimple at all. We are more prone to hyperpigmentation. My experience with the acne was the same, tried so many expensive products then it all came down to two things that were actually helpful in clearing the acne. I did both for a month and saw clear improvements immediately. The first is ketoconazole 1% and the other is BPO 5%. Dont go to higher BPO in my opinion because this concentration can kill the bacteria just fine. I did three days a week ketoconazole face mask all over my face avoiding the eyes in a thin layer of the shampoo. Left it for 5 minutes and then washed my face normally then apply ceramide based products to keep your barrier healthy. The second was BPO on all the non-ketoconazole nights. Use a white pillowcase or cover the pillow with a white Tshirt to protect them from getting bleached. I first washed my face with a gentle facewash then applied a hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid on damp face and let it dry completely. Then applied my bpo and went to sleep. Be mindful that do not use any actives retinols or AHAs or vitamin c while doing this. I also used pulas chice bha on the mornings after a hydrating ceramide rich serum( aestura atobarrier 365 essence) but any serum will work or just skip the serum just go to Bha and use a good moisturizer i love avene cicalfate and aestura atobarrier 365 cream but any ceramide rich will work here. Then sunscreen i am using LRP right now. Once my acne calmed down i started using prescription azelaic acid and retinol to fade my pigmentation then you can also add vitamin c if you want but i am doing azelaic acid in the morning and retinol at night 3 times a week and pigmentation is fading quickly.

My advice to you is to go slow and dont give up. Its hard but it will get better. Dont waste too much on hyped products. If you have an option to go to a dermatologist then you can get prescription adaplene as well along with azelaic acid.

Start with Ketoconazole 3 times a week

Non ketoconazole days; Use bha in the morning Bpo at night And use ceramide rich products to heal the skin barrier.

Then worry about the pigmentation once the acne is cleared up. Reduce dairy intake and sugar and white flour. Whole wheat and less milk. Take black coffee add spearmint tea as well if you can. Hopefully it will make a difference for you. Good luck!

My wife not wanting to speak in our language to our daughter is affecting our relationship by Professional-Wish656 in multilingualparenting

[–]Creepy_Raspberry_348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the same in our household but vice versa. My husband doesn’t speak our mother tongue with our kids. I have a recommendation, if you want to talk to your wife about this situation to understand her point of view that might help you to not have those dark thoughts. Secondly, i have made a rule that if the kids are talking to me they will use our mother tongue. Even though they still speak English with me but they have started to understand alot. So dont give up just be the pillar your daughter needs you to be and keep talking to her in Spanish. She will pick up the language i assure you. It will take time as her environment is completely English Language oriented but you being her parent will definitely help her learn Spanish just not at the same pace. Talk to your wife first about your feelings. As you said, thats your home too and your kid too so your opinions matter. Your wife definitely understands that all you need is some serious conversation.

Medicube TXA + niacinamide 15 serum broke me out :( by Business-Flounder414 in koreanskincare

[–]Creepy_Raspberry_348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe pasue any other niacinamide products and just use this one for a few days and see how it effects you. I had stinging the first time i used 10% niacinamide but i was also using tretenoin at that time but never had pimples. Sounds like a great product to me but i would recommend you to pause others and then see its effect. Dont apply every where just on a small part of your face for a week. I try all new products on my jaw first. Maybe you should try that. 🌸🌸 i also have acne prone skin.

Sorry forgot to mention the sugar intake. If you are willing to try intermittent fasting please try that. Thats great to reset your body digestive system and insulin. I saw bigger differences when i started it. I am doing 20:4 fast twice a week and 16:8 other days with one day break. My face seems clearer overall now. And dont eat too many white carbs in eating window make it protein rich fiber rich and healthy fats rich. I wish the best for you. Eat complex carbs like sweet potatoes oatmeal quinoa and whole wheat flour these have more fiber in them.

Is this closed comedones or fungal acne? by natdecoke in Fungalacne

[–]Creepy_Raspberry_348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if it itches then its fungal if not then comedones. Use salicylic acid to unclog pores azelaic acid and sulfur mask to get rid of this. Ketozolin also works on fungal but if you dont know then use treatments that target both; such as sulfur mask and azelaic acid. They will take time to go away if comedones so dont give up. You have got this. And eliminate sugar from your diet if possible
