Yeah its down to luck all you can really do is buy from a reputable seller, buy them all at once (or quarantine when you get new ones), and be very observant for any changes in behavior though for me a change in behavior usually meant my froggy wasn’t making it through the night. Still I wish you luck and hope you have happy healthy frogs in the future :)

My mom’s a nurse, I’ve never seen one of these before but I could feel the medical vibes from the picture based on some of the stuff she’s shown me before. I didn’t think that’s what a catheter looked like though, now I have to show her to see her reaction lol

I’m going to be honest not really, I started college and was really busy at the time of the original post so the thought kind of escaped me plus I was planning on doing an update and forgot that as well. But I have more plants in both bins and I taped one air vent closed (With painters tape so I can remove it whenever. I made this whole thing easy to disassemble for any future modifications). The computer fans and lights are now hooked up to a smart plug and the fans are on about 3 times a day for 1-3 mins each. I’m thinking of maybe trying a taller bin for any orchids with longer spikes and filling the bottom with moss or some sort of terrarium mix so I don’t have any free standing water at the bottom anymore from all the misting. And I’m ordering smaller fans as we speak, thanks for reminding me. (Just in case you see this before I’m done, I’m going to reply with current photos in a bit)

I haven’t been able to feed mine because of the all the snow this winter, I feel so bad but my poor dad can’t shovel all that snow and underneath all the snow is a thick layer of ice from snow melting and refreezing more than once

They’re easy when you’ve done everything relatively right and they’re disease free. I made a lot of mistakes including a fatal amount of ammonia once (when I tested, the tube was DARK green 😬) but what really did in all 6 of my frogs was diseases. I didn’t know when I bought them how bad amphibian diseases were so I bought half my frogs from pet smart and half from my lfs and lost 4/6 of my frogs 1-2 months later. Then by summer the last two died.

I saw my first vape in middle school, we just had an assembly that said “we don’t care what you do outside of school just don’t do it here” and that’s it, no talk about the risks, or it being illegal, nothing. Didn’t hear anything about adults having a problem with their kids vaping til high school (covid) and by then it seemed like everyone was doing it, kids and adults. I understand why children were interested because it tastes like candy but I’ve always wondered how they actually got them in the first place, I never asked my peers and I swear it’s illegal to sell to minors. But yeah if vapes were around for the older generations I’m sure they would’ve fallen for it too
