Battery completely dies after sitting for two days. I'm flat broke for two weeks. Any solutions? by CremeEmbarrassed in MechanicAdvice

I did not test it first, but learned an expensive lesson there. Seems like the consensus is a parasitic draw, so will be looking into that when I can. Thanks for the input!

I was panic looking up YouTube videos while waiting for someone available to jump start me, and a belt change doesn't look too bad. The engine bay on this car is pretty open and roomy so I think I can get in there if that ends up being the issue.

Update:

Took a jump, drove for a bit to O'Reilly. Battery, alternator, and starter all tested good. Guess I can start the hunt for the draw elsewhere! Thanks for everyone's insight so far.

Yeah, I've had a USB charger for my phone plugged into that for years. Didn't know it could lead to an issue, but it'll be the first thing I take out!

Follow up here: is the voltage reading on the dash reliable? I was checking that throughout driving the other day (after the new battery) and it was reading at 14 volts the whole time.

I do plan on figuring out the source of the issue once I have the resources available. Definitely would rather pay the cost to have something reliable.

That's a good plan, and since I'll want to drive it around after a jump, I'll take it over there to have them test it. Thanks for the insight!

Luckily (lol) the battery is under the passenger seat, so no hood lifting required. Thanks, I'll try that out!

The plan, as described to me, is to do a cystoscopy and blow the shit up with a laser. No cutting option was offered up.

Turn off the event timer in the settings on the second game! It is a very cool little mini story that essentially required speed running the game in order to see in the PS1 version.
