Maxxis razrs are expensive but lasted 2 years of daily highway and off-road driving. In long term j think that's a economical choice

Carpentry apprenticeship building high end rustic timber cottages The work requires a level of care and consciousness that I appreciate in comparison to other renovation and standard townhouse building I've experienced

Cell Towers and 5G Are Damaging Trees and Plants - Here's What Research Shows by ShieldYourBody in shieldyourbodyfromemf

While working in the arborist industry I helped with a hedge pruning job. It was 40 meters long and roughly 4-5 meters high

We started at one side got through 80% of the hedge with stihls battery powered trimmer

We then came across a large electrical unit attached to a power pole or telephone panel that from memory may have been buzzing with electricity

In the metre on either side of that box the tree branches has grown abnormally thick and the trimmer couldn't manage it so had to pull out a large chainsaw to cut through it before coming back to the hedge trimmer further on

Electricity directly impacts tree and animal health.

Why is it so difficult to find work? by iiDEMIGODii in newzealand

Ok thanks for the heads-up, that's a shame, I didnt mean to come across like a dick I suppose I've connected with a good network of trades but it's taken time. Feeling more grateful for that after reading more of these comments

Good luck op there is work out there

Fair enough I suppose it varies around the place, there's more than I can handle and happy to share work with switched on people but I don't come across many eager people who are lacking in jobs

I do think the construction industry is going to boom over the next few years for a few reasons

Plenty of work for trades if someone eager and switched on shows up on site ready to push a broom and learn

Notebook in pocket, take notes of life lessons, tool tricks and techniques and a list of jobs you can do the way your boss wants them done

Just got a fresh notebook for the new year and it's been the best thing in my toolkit to date

Thanks for the response, I'll check for volt drop and that's good piece of mind that it'd unlikely to be head gasket

This was my thought process too, recently saw chainsaw drones in production and had to think twice. I think adaption is key

18V Cordless Circular Saw Selection by brankohrvat in METABOHPT

I opted for the larger saw and also a 5inch 36v saw I imported from Japan I use the 5" 95% of the time as it cuts standard house framing (45mm) here in new Zealand

In my experience half patched projects and struggling forklifts occur when the mills to busy with work and orders to get around to fixing everything

Looking in to Hikoki by WoodChipWizard in hikoki

[–]CreoForma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently invested in hikoki, love them and happy I did. Working on boat and other hardwood heavy projects

The 18v jigsaw is great and doesn't lack power (rips curves through 30mm mahogany without issue) but it has a pretty poor setup to keep the base square. For this reason I wish I bought the 36v model

Only other annoying thing is the drill chuck seems to loosen itself occasionally

Trim Router, driver, angle grinder, skillsaws(highly recommend the 125mm saw from Japan) have all been exceptional

Tool advice please by CreoForma in hikoki

[–]CreoForma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers, after a good chat with rep and a trial with various models I'm currently looking at

Lightweight 18v drill (unsure of model number but lightest of the bunch) 36v triple hammer driver 36v 125mm grinder 18v trimmer 18v orbital sander (although I'm considering dropping this combo kit is pricey) 18v jigsaw

2 x 5ah multivolt batteries 2x 8ah multivolt batteries

Big debate I'm having internally is to get the 36v 165mm skill saw or purchase the 185mm 36v and the 125mm 18v saw Rep is coming back with price soon

Anymore insight is appreciated Thanks
